"Almost perfect"
This was my first stay at a Kimpton hotel (get on the Karma/rewards program! It's free and you get free wifi). If you book through Expedia or any other non-direct method, it does not count as a valid stay toward the Karma program! However, the staff at the hotel still gave me the "Raid the Bar" $15 bar credit (valid in NYC) when I asked. The room (premier king) was amazing. Very clean, no bugs. Good selection in the minibar, albeit very expensive, although that's just how minibars are. The jetted tub was comfortable and a lot of fun, and everything was generally extremely pleasant and comfortable. The window offers a pretty limited view, but that wasn't a big deal to me. The hallways of the hotel were a bit strange-looking, with some maintenance closets basically hidden by crooked wall panels. This didn't detract from my stay at all since I didn't interact with the strange-looking parts (and no customer ever would have to) - it's just minutia. Thanks for a decent rate, a great room, a good night's sleep, and wonderful service.
