"Good hotel close to the action!"
Overall impression was this is a good hotel for the price paid. Rooms well designed/ decorated/ kept clean. Great location, 10-15 min walk from Times square, 30 min from empire state. Lots of great restaurants nearby (Gallo Nero at 44th st and 9th ave was amazing! Great italian food at reasonable prices - get the Spaghetti Carbonara!). Downside to this hotel was the size of the room. Reasonable sized bed (double?) but not alot of space around it. This is the tradeoff with the price on hotels in NYC. Personally I thought it was well worth it because we weren't planning on spending alot of time in our room (not did we!) anyways. Even when we did, by the end the room felt kind of cozy and homely. Overall highly recommended!

Where to stay in Midtown West

Pocket Guide: New York Midtown West Choice LGBT Welcoming Hotels

Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Its western half is home to Manhattan's largest venues: the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden. In the Garment District, designers try to stay a cut above fashion's latest trends. Nearby, Hell's Kitchen is hot thanks to Restaurant Row. In one block on West 46th, diners can dash from Bangkok to Brazil.
