“Great Hotel for the price”
Good Hotel with an excelent restaurant across the street. Breakfast very basic
“10 minute walk to metro”
Great hotel. Large room and large bed! close to train, Missed out on the breakfast due to our flight time. About 60 km by car to Milapensa airport.

Great room and friendly service for a reasonable price. The area is not the best, but the hotel is close to the metro, which can take you places.
“Hotel under construction, leaking ceiling in bathroom, silverfish in the bed”
The hotel is under construction and the curbs in the parking lot are damaged to the extent that I slashed a sidewall of a tire. My daughter had three silverfish in her bed throughout the night. In the morning we were greeted by a major water leak in the bathroom ceiling which resulted in taking a shower when we tried to use the toilet. Breakfast was very limited with runny eggs, room temperature milk, bacon with gristle and room termperature water for tea. When we informed the front desk of the leak they just said "OK" and that was it - no apology. The four star rating on this hotel is not appropriate. I'd be surprised if it could earn a two. On the bright side, the restaurant across the street from the hotel is excellent!
“Good price, close to metro.”
3 minute walk from a metro, 3 stops to the central train station and about 7 stops to the duomo. Not a great location but had no problems and the hotel was close to the metro stop. King size bed and nice room.

Contessa Jolanda was one of the best and cleanest of the 11 hotels/apartments we used during our three week European trip.
“Nice amenities”
Pros: Comfortable and spacious - had plenty of drawers, shelves, and our room had two closets. Nice breakfast with a great view. Has a gym with cardio and a good selection of strength training machines. Not too far from a bus stop, metro stop, or grocery store (ten minutes walking). No restaurant on site, but their recommendation is across the street and served excellent food. Cons: Room was on the top floor and stuffy. Since it was before the "turn on cool air" date, we had to rely on two windows for ventilation which then let in street noise. Not too bad, but not great.
