Publicized as airport, but it's in different town

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: It is run by Best Western, so it was clean and well lit.
Cons: A small coffee shop in the hotel would be good; and an available shuttle from the train station and the airport. Shuttle is morning only.
Location: Nothing to do nearby. Not a very desirable location. Train station close, but not close enough to walk with luggage.
We were not at all pleased with the surrounding neighborhood. Although the train station is a direct link to Milano Centrale, it is inconvenient to the hotel late at night. There is nowhere to pick up coffee or water in the hotel, and the universal conversion outlets in the rooms did not work for our phones. Luckily it was only one night. Rooms were clean, and beds were comfortable.

Nice, quiet, clean hotel close to the airport.

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: Location and staff.
Location: This is in Gallarate about 5 km from Malpansa Airport
Hotel was quite easy to get to. Very nice and courteous staff. Was very easy to get to Milan by train since Gallarate regional train station is only 12 min walk from the hotel. Convenient location with a few restaurants within 0,5 miles.

A "dump" and old hotel that needs refurbishing!

Posted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: nothing!
Cons: Do not advertised it as a "four star" hotel, because it is not!!!
The condition of this hotel is in a desperate need of an upgrade. I cannot understand why "Best Western" allows their name to be used on this property.

Fine for one night near airport.

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Price and nearness to airport.
Cons: The walls are "paper-thin." Even conversational levels carry easily through them.
Location: There is a very nice restaurant quite close by and the airport is less than 5 kilometers away. We were only there only for an overnight stay.
The hotel was neat, near the airport, with clean rooms and a pleasant staff. Unfortunately, the walls are "paper-thin" and we were woken up at 3:30 in the morning by people in the next room who were merely talking as they prepared to leave for some unknown destination. I would not want to stay there for more than one night. While I would recommend it to a friend, I would do it for the price and ease of driving to the airport, but I would warn anyone about the lack of sound abatement.

Not as advertised

Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Not much
Cons: Be more clear and honest about the free shuttle
Generally not a great experience. It was not as advertised on its website or Expedia. Their shuttle is ONLY in the morning, from the hotel to Malpensa and is not available any other time and does not make pick ups from the airport. It's about a 32 euro taxi ride from Malpensa to this hotel. There are only a few places to eat nearby, a McDonalds, a Roadhouse Grill, and a third sit-down restaurant. There is no market nearby. The beds are ok, the walls are paper thin, and the shower stalls are quite small.

Very very friendly helpful staff. Checked in late in the evening due to being in transit. Nothing was a problem, didn't have to request anything (except a beer), it was all ready to go. Location didn't seem the best but was only a 10 minute walk to the train station and an hour to Milan city. Airport just 10 minute drive away.

Decent hotel, walking and travelling required!

Posted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Rooms cleaned everyday, pleasant staff, complmentary shuttle bus to airport and train station
Cons: Decor in rooms and Wi-Fi signal could do with a boost but still satisfactory
Location: One or two nightclubs close by, resturant and McDonalds clsoe by, small supermarkets close by.
The hotel is only a 1 km walk to the train station or there is a complimentary shuttle bus you can get. From the train station there is a regular (every half hour and takes 35m) train into Garibaldi station. From the Metro in Garibaldi you can get to anywhere in Milan in a few minutes. I stayed for the Grand Prix and although it was one hours travel it was still acceptable considering the price of hotels in Milan. I would say that 1 star is for the pool. The hotel is really a three star but quite satisfactory nonetheless. The rooms were cleaned and we got new sheets every day. The reception is 24/7 and staff are quite helpful. The pool itself is quite small but neat and has a nice seated area around it. As for Gallarate I did not see much of it but there is a nice Pizza restaurant around the corner and other amenities close by (ten minute walk at most). Overall I would recommend the hotel if you don’t mind walking a bit and a bit of travelling. To finish I would like to point people to the trenord "multiday rail ticket" which allows you to travel anywhere in Lombardy for €40 for 7 days. You get these from Trenord rail ticket offices and they are a godsend. Have fun...

Motel in an abandoned area

Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: There was nothing to do there.
The hotel did not posses four star qualities as it led me to believe. There was very little English programmes on the television. There was lack of privacy as cleaning staff were opening the door early in the morning without knocking. Cleaning services could not be accessed after 12 pm. The pool was so dirty it was unusable. The decor was dated. The lobby and the halls were smelly. Overall I had a horrible experience, when I saw the area and inside the hotel I started to cry. It ruined my entire birthday trip.

Don't Judge a Hotel by the Internet Site

We stayed at a Best Western in Torino, so we booked the Jet Hotel Best Western for our Milan departure. There are two BW hotels near the Milan Airport and we chose this location since it looked as if it was in a small town and we could walk for a drink before dinner and have dinner in a nice restaurant before ending our trip. We did not find the surrounding area of the hotel inviting at all. First of all, it was really difficult to find the hotel. They do have street signs, but could use better signage. For a 4-Star hotel, we expected better accommodations and location. The hotel lobby had an unpleasant odor, but fortunately our room was tolerable. The hotel receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The one great find was the restaurant next door. It was lively and full of people having a great time with their families. As obvious foreigners, the staff (especially the tall waiter) was a bit aloof, but we loved the simple atmosphere of great food and fun. Next trip, I would like to return to the restaurant, but we will choose a different location.
