“A Great Overnight Stay When Passing Through Malpensa Airport.”

A great place to stay if you are arriving at or departing from Malpensa Airport: Close to airport (but quiet), free shuttle, clean and well kept up, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and reasonable rates (but if you book through Expedia there are no cancellations/refunds). They offer 30 minutes of free Internet access per day, but the login process is rather annoying and you have to log out (not just disconnect) or the clock keeps running and burn up your 1/2-hour without knowing it. Restaurant is OK for the breakfast that is included with the room, but for dinner would recommend the restaurant next door (adjoining the parking lot).

Area recommendations

If you plan a day trip to Milan, recommend you take the Hotel's free shuttle to/from the Malpensa Airport, and then take the Malpensa Express train to/from Milan. If you go to Milan, be sure to visit the duomo, and take the elevator to the roof: Spectacular.

“Italian Getaway”

In Italy for one week. This was the best hotel we stayed in by far. Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Reasonably priced with a great little restaurant right next door.

“Closeby airport”

The place is great if you have to catch an early flight. Location close to airport, plus there is a free shuttle. Clean, good place, but in the middle of nowhere, and overpriced.

“nice modern hotel”

Hotel was very nice. Enjoyed the breakfast. We arrived late and restaurant was closed, however the staff recommended a place next door which was very good.

“OK for access to the Malpensa Airport”

We stayed here because it was very close to Malpensa Airport, and we were leaving the next morning, however, that is the only reason I would suggest this hotel. It was basic. The worst of it was the restaurant located in the BASEMENT of the hotel. Service there was very poor, the food for dinner was just "OK", and breakfast was terrible.

it was perfect for the last night of our trip..very close to the airport, very helpful staff the shuttle from the airport helped us with the rental car return, and we took the first shuttle out at 430am..all worked great. highly recommend. also good restauranrt.

“Good Airport Hotel”

The hotel staff was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location near the airport. However, what they claimed to be a handicapped accessible room for my elderly relative did not come equipped with rails.

“Very clean comfortable and safe”

Strongly recommended before your fly out and when you fly in if you need to rest or have a early flight in the morning, shuttle is very good.

“great proximity to airport”

This hotel was very convenient for getting to Malpensa Airport, but I wanted to be in downtown Milan more than I wanted to be near the airport. I likely wouldn't choose this hotel in the future for that reason alone. The staff are very friendly. Bar service and seating in the evening were great. Breakfast was just what I needed in the morning. Coffee is good. Not too much air traffic noise. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Transportation to MXP from Milano Centrale is easy by train - takes about one hour - then the free shuttle to the hotel is great.

What to pack

I felt completely safe packing into a crossbody purse. I would recommend a medium size purse that will allow you easy access to your wallet, camera, tickets, etc. You don't want to be rummaging, but you want to have enough room to carry everything. A padded strap would be nice too - I have a bruise from carrying a bag with an uncomfortable strap for only one day.

Shopping

If you've ever wanted to shop (or window shop!) designer labels, Monte Nepoleone is the place to do it. It's only a couple of blocks from Duomo. Elsewhere you can find less expensive treasures. All accessible by Metro or walking from Milano Centrale.

Dining

Wine is cheaper than soda. We enjoyed everything we ate. Il Carpaccio has wonderful carpaccio! Gelato from Cioccolat Italiano is THE best!

Events and shows

Try to see an opera or concert at La Scala. We were not able to as tickets sell out quickly.

Outdoors or beach

We walked nearly everywhere we went.
