“Convenient location next to train station”
Lavish breakfast, wiFi, pleasant staff.
“Superb Staff Service”
Superb Staff services from check-in counter to restaurant! Early check-in, no problem! Even we were offered to taste the best roasted espresso in the coffee shop while waiting for check in!
“Did not get a wake up call!,,”
Pros: Excellent proximity to the central station, on metro line to Duomo and center. Excellent breakfast. Small but nice room. Cons: steps at the entrance with no help from the staff with bags, no wake up call came, broken sink stopper and the shower cabin door. front desk guy sent to an overpriced mediocre restaurant for dinner.
“Quiet, convenient, and helpful”
We stayed two nights in late October. We were upgraded to a superior room, which was very well appointed, but tight. The fixtures and furnishings seemed updated and very comfortable. Our room was on the interior, and was quite quiet. Although hallways were small and the rooms seemingly close together, we did not hear anyone else. The service was outstanding. We received a great deal of cordial help on directions, phone calls to restaurants, etc., and helpful services like being able to charge airport shuttle bus tickets to the room. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner. However, it provides a room service/light dinner menu which it provides from a nearby caterer. The hotel does have an elaborate and tasty breakfast buffet served in a separate dining area, which we missed the second morning due to our early flight. We asked for something to take with us, but the "box breakfast" did not have anything fresh in it except fruit. The lounge for drinks and snacks was quite comfortable, though small. Coffee, tea and bottled water was available to hotel quests in an area off the lobby. Although a very compact hotel in most respects, we found it very comfortable and friendly. Finally, it is convenient, only a short walk from the central train station, where the shuttle bus from Malpensa airport brought us.
“Nice hotel in a so-so environment”
The staff is excellent and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast buffet selections are amazing and they also offer a happy hour with excellent food. The only negative or positive depending on your needs - is that it is so close ( a block away) to the train station. Not a great outside environment.
“Friendly staff, Clean modern room and best breakfast buffet.”
Great experience at this Milan hotel. The hotel is 2 blocks away from the train station and the staff is friendly and will bend over backwards to accomodate you. Free internet is in the lobby since the front desk will give you a password and code to log in. Also, the Hotel Berna offers one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever seen in any hotel (this was a pleasant surprise).
“Value for Money”
Great location, just 5-10 mins walk from the Central Station. Breakfast has wide selection. Concierge has been very helpful and smart, as we asked to make a dinner booking at a restaurant and then we left the hotel. Then we later called back the reception and asked for booking details, yet was told the restaurant was under renovation and they know the company has another restaurant in Milan, so they booked us a table there. We went to the 2nd restaurant and had a wonderful experience of excellent food, good ambience and friendly staff. We thank so much for the hotel receiptionist's thoughtfulness.
“Hotel Berna @ Milan”
The Hotel is very well located (2 blocks from Trains Central Station & 1 block from Metro Station), The service is excellent and has a very well assorted breakfast. The room is a little small.
“Stay here when in Milan!”
We stayed at 4 different hotels while in Europe - The Hotel Berna was far and above the rest. An extremely short walk from Centrale Train Station and even shorter walk from the Metro Stations (the Hotel is right behind the McDonald's in the main square). Breakfast was superb - fresh fruit - pastries - juicer to make your own juice - eggs - meats - cheese - fresh yogurt -all cereals - fresh hot chocolate, the staff would make any drink you wish - the wait staff polite and accommodating - especially the young waiter with the curly hair. Giacomo secured tickets for us to see "The Last Supper" which we will be forever grateful as they were sold out on line. Upon opening the door to our room we were greeted with cookies and a card on our pillows. The room was clean and smelled fresh every day. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating - our bags were brought up to our room as well bringing an iron and ironing board. Very safe neighborhood. The internet connection was free and worked the entire stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
