Guests can relax in the hotel's Roman-themed wellness centre which comprises a hot tub, sauna, Turkish bath, and two Scottish showers. More active guests can work out on the cardio and weight equipment in the adjacent gym. The sixth floor houses the lap pool, which is surrounded by wood decking, sun loungers, and greenery, and features an underwater sound system and a retractable roof which opens to offer views over the city's rooftops, the spires of the Duomo, and the dome of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
The concierge can reserve the Oyster Bar for private parties, whilst the hotel's three meeting rooms can accommodate between 30 and 80 people. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel (surcharge).
Rooms
This seven-floor hotel features 109 guestrooms and suites, all of which feature bold-coloured decor complementing the richly-pattered bedding and 18th-century art displayed on the walls. Windows open onto the quiet surrounding streets and include mechanised shutters which can be opened and closed from the bedside. All rooms come with ornate, antique-style furnishings in cherry wood, upholstered chairs, and large, gold-framed mirrors.
The air-conditioned rooms include satellite TV with pay movies, direct-dial telephones, and wireless Internet access (surcharge), as well as safes and minibars. Italian marble bathrooms come equipped with tubs and showers, bidets, and bathroom telephones.

Guests of the Hotel de la Ville enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning, served in the contemporary 120-seat breakfast room which adjoins the restaurant.
L'Opera - Continental-style á la carte restaurant which serves a range of typical Italian dishes with specialities such as Lobster with Thyme-Flavoured Chick Peas. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Il Visconteo Bar - Traditional, wood-panelled bar set adjacent to the lobby. Serves wine, beers, and a wide range of liqueurs.
Oyster Bar - Small, informal bar set on the first floor, available for lunches and aperitifs.

“Good hotel”
Location is excellent. Steps from the Duomo, and all shops. Hotel is clean, breakfast is good. The staff is very helpful, and all of them have a service mind attitude. Could not be any better. The room size is small but do-able. Just typical European hotel room size.
“The best Milano has to offer”
This is a definite four star Hotel. The Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They speak very good English and very pleasnt to be around. I woud highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I will hopefully going back their next year. The lcation is perfect right downtown amongst the fashion centers
“Great location”
The Hotel de la Ville is located 100 meters from the Duomo and across the street from a trendy and elegant department store. The metro station is in the plaza where the Duomo is and within 5 minutes from the central train station. Will stay there next time I go to Milan. JLQ
“Very convenient to centre”
If you select this hotel only because of the small roof top terrace and pool... dont... it is not in working order...however if you select this hotel for a long weekend relaxing/shopping/visiting sites trip then its location is perfect. Good selection at breakfast too.
“Fantastic location”
Within walking distance from the Duomo, the Galaria and the hot shopping streets the location is great. Friendly staff and reasonable services I would not hesitate to go back again and again.
“Location, location, location”
Did I mention location. Clean rooms and a great breakfast every morning. We were 4 girls away for the January Saldi. Everything was just a short walk. La Rinasente depart. store was right across the street. Tons of cafes. Duomo was a 5 min. walk. Hire a driver and take the trip to Lake Como and the outlets in Switzerland.
