I left my suit in the hotel & had to schedule a pick up with Fedex. Fedex would pick it up if it was in a box, but the the staff in charge did not put my (already in vover) suit in a box and said that it is not a service that the hotel will provide!!

2 StarsPosted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Close the the Polytechnic, where I had business. Wireless was pretty good.
Location: Definitely a neighbourhood, so the most interesting thing for a tourist was being away from the tourist areas. Lacks the big splash, but has character
The evening staff was courteous and friendly; morning checkout staff ... not so much. The breakfast provided was good. The room was small, and just clean enough. The bathroom was so tiny, I had to leave the bathroom door open to use the sink. The mattress had springs that were just covered. Comfortable compared to sleeping on the ground, but not luxurious by any means. The hotel should definitely not have a 3-star rating. At best, 2 stars. At the price, it's adequate, but the 3-star rating leads online purchasers to think they're getting more than they are.

The worst hotel I ever stayedPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: When I have left
Room unclean , old and bits failing apart, I had to change hotel because it was that bad. Breackfast was just few slices of ham and chese to be shared with all guests. Dirty breackfast room. The hotel can surely benefit of a general cleaning and remodernization.

Like staying in a student bedroom. Small and crampPosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Receptionists were friendly and helpful
Cons: Needs a complete refurbishment
Location: in a commercial area, so not much to do locally
Hotel Lugano is old and tired. Public areas very small, rooms tired, bathroom shabby, breakfast room tiny. Continental breakfast was passable. Room was clean, but small. The was bed hard, furniture old and scruffy. The bathroom was very small and scruffy (but clean).
