First of all, very affordable for a nice, clean, basic room. Front desk staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious. No problems whatsoever!

Overall, it was a great stay. The reception staff was nice, and our room was great. It was one of the most spacious rooms of our trip, though the shower was a bit small for us. The AC was the BEST of all the hotel rooms we stayed in. Man, we appreciated that cool air! They had a nice breakfast spread and were even so kind to pack us a to-go bag when they learned we had to depart early in the morning before breakfast was officially served out last day. It's a short 7-10 minute walk to the Garibaldi train station and only about 10 minutes from Corso Como and other areas. The only downside was the immediate area/street seemed a little less developed and lively. However, just a very short walk, and you're in all the action.

Nice hotel! Good location to see the main attractions in Milan. Staff was nice and the breakfast was pretty good. Rooms had air conditioning. The rooms smelled like cleaning products which I didn’t mind but it could be bothersome to people with sensitivities.

I like this place, even though I think the staff was smoking in the kitchen. It is a short walk from the Garibaldi train station which I came in from Malpensa on. Later I found out I could have taken the train to the main train station instead. I felt very safe staying here, even though the door wouldn't lock properly (they said the repairman was off?). The breakfast was really good, and they were really kind to me. No problems with noise, and there is a grocery right close by. The staff recommended a restaurant and it was splendid.

Hotel San Guido located in North Milan 3 stars
Hotel San Guido is clean, but oldish and decor needs to be refreshed. The bed was comfortable, but the shower very small for a 6'2'' man. The breakfast was ordinary, but personnel very helpful. It would be nice to have TV channels in English to watch the news, like BBC or CNN.

Location is good, close to Chinatown so you will not run out of food options outside the hotel. The service is very good especially the reception area who took care of our taxi arrangement. It was in the busy area and probably close to the hospital and police station. You will hear ambulance and police car every 15 minutes. This hotel was at the very bottom review out of the 6 hotels we booked during our Europe trip. We haven't figure out if mosquitoes or bed bugs who bit us during our stay but if I come back I will stay away from this hotel

Great location near garibaldi station. Staff were all helpful and topped it off by providing a breakfast doggy bag as i had to check out really early. One slight negative is street noise, with tram lines on both sides of the hotel

Beautiful, classic hotel. Very kind staff, we needed to leave before breakfast and they made us a "to go" bag. Super clean and old world charm. Spacious room. Close to subway/trains.

Cozy charming hotel in Milano

Buzzer sounding in or near room
A buzzer in or near my room began sounding every 15 minutes or so from about midnight to 3 a.m. At 2 a.m. I went to speak to the concierge. There were apparently no other rooms available. I was not treated with respect or courtesy. The next morning, I was, though they had no explanation and no compensation was offered. I got perhaps 5 hours of sleep that night which is especially disappointing since I am traveling for work. Will not return.

I'd go back.
An old fashioned look with modern fixtures. Nice bathroom with good soap and towels. Elevator. Efficient check in and out with multilingual staff. 3 minute walk to Metro. Can be loud but it is in the central area.

Lovely traditional Italian Hotel, 5 minutes walk from Monumentale Metro station which is one stop from Garibaldi for International trains. Room was perfect for my needs. Friendly, helpful staff - especially if you enjoy football talk! Great value

The staff was helpful. And the air conditioning worked well which is important in the summer months! It was nice to have an offer of free breakfast. It was a bit noisy on the street since the buses and trains are right there. The good part about that is that transportation is very convenient. If we were staying longer I would probably choose to stay closer to the city center. The location was not ideal for sightseeing and shopping.

Good location and good value
Lots of good Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants very close by; clean room, very good free breakfast. Pretty good for a low budget hotel. I'd stay there again. Google says to get off at the Garibaldi metro, but in fact Monument (transfer from the green line to the purple line) is much closer if you're coming from Milano Centrale.

What a fantastic find.....
This hotel turned out to be one of the best we have ever stayed at. It has a certain 'old world' charm about it, from the ornate furniture to the wonderful staff. Everyone was very helpful. The free breakfast was varied and plentiful and more than enough fuel for the day. Contrary to other reviews, the check in desk was open 24 hours. The WiFi was fast. The only downside was the lack of English speaking channels on the TV..!! There again it was nice to get away from US politics for a while and try to learn Italian..! The location was great with only a ten minute stroll to the Porto Garibaldi train station.Great restaurants in the local area with very few tourists but an easy walk to the center and all of the great thongs Milan has to offer.

Charming hotel close to the centre
This is welcoming hotel on the edge of Chinatown and Brera, 10 minutes walk from the centre. It feels family run and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. It is a little outdated, but that is part of it's charm!
