Personal attention in private apartmentPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: We liked the homely atmosphere and little terrace and garden at the back. Yolanda and Francesco were excellent hosts and helped us with information.
Location: Located near the tram station and 20 minutes to Milan cathedral, La Scala etc. ...neighbourhood bar around the corner. Green park in the square.
This was a special B and B with very caring hosts and a tram ride from the centre of town. Very quiet neighbourhood.

pour un week end de travail. accueil chaleureux par un gentil couple de retraité parlant un peu le français. Très serviable et accomodant. de bons conseils pour se déplacer en ville

A lovely alternative to the usual hotelPosted Mar 15, 2011
I stayed at La Villetta for 3 nights during my bi-annual visit to the Mipel exhibition. Easy access to transport links is a given from the location. La Villetta is owned by Farncesco, Iolanda with Marco, their son, also in residence. It is a house in a private street and has only one large guest bedroom with its own rather splendid bathroom. The place is immaculate, the welcome sincere and the coffee, “Caffè GUARANY 100% Arabic blend” produced by Pellini Caffè, outstanding (I know the name because I asked). A cookery lesson on 'their way' to make Lasagne was provided on request! It was a really enjoyable experience which prompted me to buy flowers for the mistress of the house. I wish them well.

An authentic Italian experiencePosted Jan 12, 2010
La Villetta might not be in the best neighbourhood but it is coveniently close to the tram route to the duomo and city centre as well as the bus route which circles the city centre also stopping at the Stazione centrale. It is not at all Victorian but that hardly matters- the oldish vertical apartment has been immaculately renovated but still retains some old world charm. My room was large and airy with tall ceilings, comfortable beds and a huge 19th century (or older) wardrobe. The bathroom was also spacious and everything was spotlessy clean & neat. Hostess Jolanda was attentive and helpful and provided just about everything you might expect of a typical Italian breakfast. An excellent and affordable family style restaurant just a few minutes walk away was the perfect dinner stop.
