Travel back in time to early 1980sPosted Apr 12, 2014
The quality of the facility and the staff attitude is unacceptable for this day and age and the abundance of choices.

Pros: clean, convenient, staff friendly, rooms excellent, bar nice, breakfast good - no complaints
Cons: I didn't have tea/coffee facilities in the room, but not a problem for me
Location: Milan is full of lovely sights, the cathedral, churches, art galleries, basilicas etc and La Scala (make sure the "boxes" are open).
the hotel was excellent, easy to reach on the airport shuttle from Linate, the hotel was excellent and within very easy reach of the metro (get a 2 day ticket).

Very nice hotel in excellent locationPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Well located, clean and comfortable. Excellent complimentary breakfast with many choices. Good food in downstairs restaurant too.
Cons: Had a little trouble finding a shopping area.
Location: Very good location. We enjoyed very much.
Very nice hotel, helpful staff, across the street from the train station, easy access to the airport and also for getting around and seeing things. We really enjoyed our stay. I met my friend who came down from Switzerland and we both felt it was an excellent hotel. Reasonably priced for it's quality. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

The best for its range in MilanPosted Mar 5, 2014
Location: Only 20 Euro by taxi from Airport to the hotel. A Limo guy would approach you at exit and ask for 45 Euro and claim taxi costing the same.
Everything is good. Very close to the train station and metro station of two lines. Will stay there again for future trips. However the restaurant service needs some improvement.

Great City Centre HotelPosted Feb 20, 2014
Cons: Would a pool be cheeky?
Location: Great city centre location close to the metro/ train statiomn
My wife and I went to Milan for a 2 day city break. We picked the Michelangelo Hotel for its location (very close to the train station) as we had an early morning flight and wanted to avoid a trip across town in the rush hour. It is opposite the train station and the drop off point for the airport buses. A metro stop is around the corner and there are many places to eat close by. Booked as a special rate deal we went expecting a bolt hole, with the problems of a city centre location. However it was quiet, clean and superb! However, we got a 4 star hotel which lived up to the classification from start to finish. Fast check in (we were allowed to go to our room early- which is always a great touch). Our room was on the 5th floor, facing the station, but was very quiet. Electrically operated blackout curtains, free minibar and in room wifi. Our room had an en suite bathroom with bidet and whirlpool bath. It had many nice touches such as bathrobes, extra pillows in the room, free slippers and free sweets every day! This may be normal for some people, but I usually stay in travel lodges. The in room TV had premium channels in english as well as a good selection of other languages. A Breakfast buffet was included in the room rate. As well as continental breakfast a hot selection was available. This included some unusual items, such as spicy pork risotto one day and roast chicken and vegetables another day. Check out was equally quick and easy. A great stay! Thanks!
