It was such a cute place. Our room had a little kitchenette with a nice balcony looking over the garden courtyard! Staff was friendly and helpful! We had car trouble and we’re late for our check in by a few minutes but they were really kind about the situation.

I recommend against staying there. 1-My room was on the 8th floor, accessible by a single lift. The management recommended to NOT use this lift between 8pm and 8am. 2-The kitchenette did not have a convenient dish for heating water for a cup of tea or instant coffee. 3-The tap/faucet that controls the water in the shower was in very poor condition and could hardly be turned; it was a big nuisance every time I took a shower.

How could a hotel not giving a fan or something when the air conditioner not working and everyday around 25C. Also, the room is filled with ants and flies, I could find it anywhere in the room. I was my worst experience of all time. I won’t recommend you all to choose this hotel.

The staff communicated well with regards to out check in and check outs during our stay. However there was a horrible smell and lingered in all areas of the hotel. The people smoking in the rooms made it even more difficult to deal with the smell.

Dear Sharmin,I'm sorry for yoyr experience. You have to consider that the "smell" most of the time is due to the fact that people is cooking ind sometime the "smell" goes around the floors. The "smell" of smoking is really a "smell" and sometime the time is too short to give the room the proper time to be refreshed. Of course I don't want to find excuse. What I write is just to let you know that maybe was enough to talk to the reception , maybe we could solve the problem.... A little dated, but adequate
The apartment is on the east side of the city center, about 4km from the Duomo (as roughly the center of the city). It should be a nice walk when the construction along Viale Argonne is complete. Transport is straightforward, with the #54 bus and the #5 tram being the closest, and running frequently. Commuter rail stations Forlanini and Lambrate are nearby as well. The construction is a bit dated, and the walls are a little thin. Fortunately, my floor was relatively empty my first few days. The elevator is especially dubious, groaning like a whale every time it starts up. In fact, they recommend not using the elevator at night, when no one is at reception, but no one followed that recommendation. It isn't entirely clear where to go when you arrive for the first time. When they buzz you in at the front gate, you'll walk about 100 meters, first bearing right, and then reception will be down a little hill to your left. The wifi wasn't working on my floor for the first day and a half (my first full day was a Sunday), but it was fixed Monday morning. The problem was fixed satisfactorily.

Good public transport options to get to Duomo and get to Linate airport (Milan urban fare zone). Front desk works between 8 am and 11.59 am and from 5 pm in evening. Important to let the property know estimated time of arrival via Expedia message. Smooth check in at the reception. Staff polite and friendly and even lent us the adaptor to charge our phones for the stay. Property in a quiet neighbourhood. Clean property in good condition. Property equipped with cutlery, microwave, small kitchenette. Definitely will book the property again for the next visit to Milan.

Great value for money!
Centrally located, easy check in and check out (we appreciate the flexibility and kindness they showed to us when we arrived a few minutes later after the check in closed). It was clean and small as expected, but with everything you need at hand.

The IH Hotel Milano is the best. Super accommodations, clean, comfortable, friendly staff and in a quiet residential neighborhood. However, we will never use Expedia again because of their poor customer service when trying to rectify a billing issue. They would not correct their messaging errors which caused the confusion. Plus they made us call them 5 times from Milano and on the 5th call we were put on hold for 30 minutes! When we asked to talk with a manager, we learned that the representatives actually work for a Philippine call center contractor and do not work for Expedia! Amazing! We have been a loyal Expedia Gold and Corporate client for over 10 years, but after this horrible experience, we will be taking our business to another on-line service. 5 stars for IH Hotels Milano! 0 stars for Expedia and the poor customer service!

The hotel is fantastic and a great value in the middle of Milan. However, Expedia does a bad job of informing customers that the hotel will do the billing and not Expedia. So, if you plan to pay in advance for someone other than yourself as the guest, if won't work because the hotel requires the credit card used to make the reservation. Also, it should be noted that Expedia exhibited terrible customer service when trying to rectify the problems we had when reserving and paying for 3 of our company representatives. We learned that Expedia uses a contracted company in the Philippines to handle their customer service and they cannot handle these matters. When asked to talk with a supervisor, they said there were none in their Philippines office and that we would have to contact Expedia in the US by email. Expedia exhibits poor customer service and although we have utilized their services for over 10 years as a Gold member, we will no longer patronize them. So IH Hotel Milo is 5 stars! But Expedia is 0 stars!

Good position in a Milan Suburb with on site parking in locked compound. Building is a little shabby but things work and the show is a good one. Desk staff are friendly and helpful as are cleaners. Its not a wow place just basic good value with the key points well covered

Hotel stay was average .We use to come to hotel by 11 PM and go away by 7 AM in the morning. There was few basic stuff missing like hair dryer which I have seen in all of the apartment hotel . There was lot of mosquitoes in the room.

Excellent mini appartment - basically a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and balcony set in a private gated garden. The tram passes and takes you to the centre in 15 minutes. A good area to relax. Less frenetic than the centre and with cheaper restaurants and bars.

Comfortable and exactly what we needed
Comfortable with easy walking distance to tram to get into central Milan. Easy to get to Milao Central station in order to get to Monza for the F1 Great food in the local area and really friendly shops. Beds were amazingly comfortable and the rooms were spotless! Would happily stay again, free reliable and decent speed wifi

Does the job!
Location is okay, the quiteness was perfect but it was a walk to get to a cafe or restaurant. If you are looking for a good nights sleep this is the place. I have family there and they were our transportation for the trip, I am not sure about public transportation.

It's okay, not worth the price though
The hotel did not include any amenities like breakfast or coffee but was more than any other hotel on our 16 day vacation. The kids in the apartment behind are very, very loud and the smell of cigarette smoke woke us up very early even though it was not smoking hotel. When checking out, the staff didn't give so much as a hello before shouting the price of our stay from the back office.

For a city as expensive as Milan (at least for accomodation), this hotel is excellent value for money. It's decent, the neighborhood is OK, but there's a train station (not a metro station, be aware) close to the hotel. THe reception works from 07.00 to 23.00 and you cannot check-in or check-out if the reception is closed. Staff is very friendly.

Reasonable place to stay.
There is nothing fabulous or terrible to report about this hotel. It is close enough to the center of the city to walk and enjoy the beautiful buildings, but far enough away to feel like an escape from the touristy area. Very easy to access with public transportation. We were a bit surprised that the "double room" we booked only had one large bed, which was not ideal for our family of three, but we managed. We felt that the price was very fair, which makes it great when traveling on a budget. If we could get a second bed next time, we would definitely go back.

Felt like an apartment...
Great hotel, great location. Surrounded by personal residences so it feels like a little apartment. Lovely views out both Windows. The shower was awesome! Cute little kitchen. We didn't use it but would've if we were staying longer than two nights. Very clean. Very quiet. We were very comfortable and happy. Would definitely stay there again. Only negative is that there was no metro service but we were able to take a bus to the metro. Loved our stay!

Convenient location, nice place to stay
This hotel is not in downtown, but still is convenient because it has bus number 54 less than two block going directly to the Duomo and the touristic places, and it goes every 5 minutes. It has secure parking for about 7 euros per night, and a little kitchen and fridge and it has good space. This is not a luxury hotel, but has all I needed. The bed is a little hard, and the elevator's floor is a little loose, but it is in a good location and has a good views and he internet works well. There is no breakfast, but there are plenty of stores and restaurants, drug stores, bakeries, etc around. It is a little tricky to get in and out because there is a gate and they also lock the lobby door at night. If you are getting there late, call in advance. From the street, use the intercom the button and find "Reception" since there are a lot of buttons. The kitchen has some utensils missing like big spoons, forks, so it was a little difficult to use. Front desk staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again. Good experience.

Review for a two week stay
Overall the hotel was O.K. for a long term stay. The bathrooms were run down and there was a lot of dark build up around the showers. I was extremely allergic with the air conditioner running so the ducts are likely very dusty. That being said, it is nice to have your own kitchenette to cook meals, and it was very secure/safe. I think it is good value for what your paying. I stayed in a double room and single room - the double room was almost twice the size and well worth the extra money per night if you are planning a long stay, even by yourself.

It is a Residence, but a Hotel!!
I would say to Expedia: Please, take it off your list!! It was a residence, but Hotel. It was a nine floor building , where my opinion is that just the 8th & the 9th floor working as a Hotel, the rest was rented out. AC was not working, noises , water running, you hear everything all night long. The A/C unit did not work.The worst experience I had which made me to stay woken up all night was that at the 11:00 PM the receptionist went home, nobody on charge and no security. There, You are in the fate's hand! The room's door has a simple key to get looked, no security on the door. My beautiful vacation ended in a scary way.

We were able to easily get to downtown (about 3 miles, but great transportation systems), and only a 15 euro ride (3 plus luggage) to Linate Airport. Hotel in residential area, with plenty of shops and restaurants, but hotel doesn't offer any food, but does have drink and snack vending. Room walls paper thin, so you hear lots of noise.

Free Internet Access In Room Which Worked Well
I chose this hotel due to the Free Internet Access In the Room which worked really well. It was very difficult to find somewhere in Milan close to transport links, at a reasonable rate, offering good quality free internet access (all of them had surcharges or bad connections from reviews) but Residence Biancacroce provided this. The place was extremely clean and the reception staff really friendly. I will be back to stay again here on my next trip to Milan.

Good value for money, not good location
This apartment is set amongst residential flats in a gated community. It is not a hotel so do not expect a hotel service (no restaurant, very few staff).The rooms were basic but adequate, the beds were reasonably comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there was a very tiny kitchenette. There is no supplies in the room so make sure you bring your own water, tea and food. The neighbourhood is boring, there is nothing to do and nowhere to go, not even any nice restaurants, you will have to drive to find a decent place to eat. Only stay at this hotel as it is conveniently located near to Linate Airport.
