Location: 10 % discount at restaurant near by. Close to shopping and food.
Overall stay was good. I was not happy that our room was not cleaned until the second day. We didn't have any clean towels. I wold recommend letting the front desk know you want your room cleaned and/or at least more towels daily. I would go back to that hotel,,it had everything we needed.

Sad, only option for West Allis lodging

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Evening shift staff who checked me in and checked on a few immediate issues for me was very nice. Housekeeping had the room very clean.
Cons: The antiquated heating/cooling system, outward appearances (generally dingy and dark), stop instructing guests to reuse towels to help the environment
Location: Terrible location with very little to do in walking distance.
The hotel was the only one in West Allis proper and I wanted to stay close to my daughter's apartment. It was truly bad on almost every level except the evening staff and housekeeping (room was very clean). The comfort level was poor due to inadequate heating and the noise from other units was annoying. I usually walk in the evening but didn't feel safe in the area around the hotel - my only option was to walk along a very busy street near the hotel. I checked out the next day and moved to another hotel. I paid a little more but it was worth it.

Rehabbed county jail

The soda machines didn't work. The breakfast area was small. Would have been better at a different hotel.

All have pros and cons

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: It was only 2.5 miles from the Wisconsin state fair park where the event we attended was held. Also there was a very nice restaurant right next door.
Cons: It would be nice to control your own room temp.
Location: Right in town, not far from the fairgrounds.
Decent room for the price, hotel is a bit odd in looks but was clean and welcoming and the continental breakfast was a plus. the only problem was that the room was very warm with no way to control the heat and the A/C did not work.

Close to Wisconsin State Fair Park, Zoo and stores

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: It was clean, staff was nice, close to everything. The beds were very comfortable! I was impressed on how clean the rooms were.
Cons: It good use a little updating in the rooms.
Location: There was the State Fair, Zoo, Ballpark and many other places to visit nearby
We had a nice quiet time in our room. Ate next door and the food was good. The hotel had a nice continental breakfast and the staff was great We plan on staying there again.

Snowy Weekend

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: My room was warm upon entrance.
Cons: Add waffles to the breakfast menu and microwaves to the rooms. That way guest don't have to run down the hall to heat their food.
Location: Not much to do, just a nice restaurant next door that offers you a 10% discount off your order when you show them your room key.
I am a frequent visitor of hotels. This weekend I choose to stay at the Days Inn located in West Allis, WI. I the first thing I noticed as I checked in was the breakfast nook. I was curious about what they offered for breakfast so I asked, I was disappointed to find out that they did not have waffles as a part of their choose. The staff was friendly and check in went smooth. My room was warm and inviting, that was a big plus. I was really disappointed when I realized that there was no microwave in my room!!!! Who really wants to travel down the hall to the front desk area to heat up food. The room was a little dated (box TV) but, overall I enjoyed my stay.

Convenient location; quiet, but not pretty. Have stayed here at least six times on 3 years. Don't let outside hallway scare you. Rooms are fine; some furniture still from Tyrolean Town House days, but clean. Good price. Best homemade yogurt and pastries at continental breakfast (from Greek restaurant next door). Friendly staff.

Strange Entrance

Posted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
We chose the hotel because of location to our New Year's Eve party. The hotel has entrance to the room from (almost) the outdoors...which was unlike anything else I've ever experienced. The room itself, although it had the smell of smoke, was very comfortable and included a king bed as well as surprise fridge! For what we needed, and the price we paid, it was a pleasant surprise.

OK for the price.

For $50.00 a night it was alright. Definitely dated though.

charming older place to stay

Posted Nov 21, 2014
This was a well maintained older hotel with wonderful staff. I enjoyed my brief stay and plan to use them again in my future travels in the area. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to a friend or family member. Thanks
