“Never again....”

The hotel it self was ok. Front desk staff was nice. The clientele of the hotel was extremely shady! My husband and I returned to our room late - about 3:30 AM. There were people hanging around outside the doors. My husband was even propositioned through the window by a prostitute! In the morning we woke to fighting in the hallway. Never, ever would I stay there again!

“Ashtray”

The entire place smelled like an ashtray and the fire alarm was constantly going off. The rooms were very cheap so if you just need a place to pass out it will probably do.

“You get what you pay for.”

I wasn't expecting anything extravagant, but the room wasn't very clean. The carpet was stained and actually sticky. That definitely made me concerned about the general cleanlieness. They advertise complimentary shuttle, which is free, but I never saw anything that said they would charge you per day to leave your car there. The desk clerk who told me was quite rude about it. It was my impression that people tend to argue about it and he was very brisk. I think people should argue it considering it doesn't make that hotel the cheapest. I would have rather spent the extra money on a hotel that was cleaner and honest about charges.

“Not very pleasant hotel staff”

We used this hotel because of the free parking. Ok we found out later that is was not free and would be an extra 25 bucks. The staff member that we saw both when we first got there and when we were leaving for home was very unpleasant. He difinately made us feel like we were inconveniencing him.

When to go

We were never told that the hotel to airport shuttle ends at 10 pm. So we had to use the airports shuttle when we got there. It just seemed like we were inconveniencing them (the hotel). The hotel staff seemed very unpleasant both when we had to leave very early in the morning and arrive late at night.

“DISGUSTING!!! SPEND THE EXTRA $20.00!!!!!!”

Do Not Stay Here........ If you still are considering it read below. My room was on the first floor, overall it looked fine, nothing special, out dated TV and universal remote. I could hear everything in my room the guests above me walking, the guests next door, and the ones that were having a party or something in the hallway that was never dealt with. The most disgusting thing was when I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, on my way back to bed I noticed something on the floor. It happened to be a used condom wrapper. It didn't notice this before since the bed is so close to the wall. I will never stay in this hotel again. For a name brand chain this is really bad I would not want my name on this hotel. After finding the condom wrapper I noticed other things were not very clean either around the toilet there was paper stuck to the bottom some of the towels looked as though they were never replaced. And just the thought of a condom wrapper not getting picked up by the maid, leads to wonder if the sheets were ever changed? Do Not Stay Here.

Area recommendations

I was only in Milwaukee for one night coming back from a trip to Madison WI. I did however get a chance to check out the city a bit. There seems to be some really nice restaurants and bars to checkout in down town. I ate dinner at AJ Bombers. They one the best burger in Milwaukee from the "Food Wars" TV Show. I had the burger that won the prize it was pretty good. Their wings are okay, need more sauce but good. Like any big city parking is a premium. So if you plan on going for a night out there is a decent size parking lot for $5 near AJ Bombers (google it I don't remember the address) and if you can find a parking meter to park near they are $0.25 a half hour. After 6pm I believe the city no longer chargers. Don't take a chance not paying the parking police are thick in Milwaukee. Another thing to do on limited time is to drive the lake front in Milwaukee there are some great old Mansion size houses to check out as well as the city has neat historical building as well.
