Was an exceptional place to stayPosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was great clean, spacious, and comfortable. Nice section of town near riverwalk, and breakfast also good, as was the service. Recommend hotel to all going to casino, Miller Park or just enjoying the city!

Great stay, would stay there againPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
I loved the history of this hotel, and it was in a great location. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I knocked off on cleanliness was because they didn't refill toiletries. They left 2 makeup remover wipes for patrons & never refilled them when they cleaned the room. I've never understood the use of white towels in hotels, but you'd think the wipes would be helpful because when a person washes their face, all that mascara is ending up on their towels. Also, they should leave at least two packs of regular coffee & more creamer & sugar -- we ended up with one pack of regular & two of decaf. It's minor, I know, but they did also have coffee available sometimes in the lobby, which was helpful (especially the to-go cups). Overall, I would stay here again. The beds were comfortable, the location was convenient & my husband enjoyed the TV package. A better view would have been nice, but staying in downtown, you'll get obstructed room views. The hotel was gorgeous, otherwise -- loved the architecture!

Nice, new hotel in a very cool building. Breakfast buffet is a good deal at $10.

Location: Good location. Third ward just blocks away, shopping just blocks
Wonderful room with excellent hotel staff from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Very, very clean with great attention to detail. The front desk could not have been more helpful or efficient.

Nice hotel. Walking distance to farmers market.Posted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: The stairs were beautiful. The window ceiling was one of the prettiest I've seen.
Cons: The toilet was right to the left of the shower and made it hard to step into the shower. The door opened out. Also we did not have a tub.
Location: We saw a baseball game, Walked to the farmers market, and Walked along the River walkway. That was beautiful and very relaxing.
The shuttle only went a certain distance but our driver took us to the Miller Brewery, which was out of his way. He also gave us his phone number and told us to call him when we were ready to be picked up. The staff at the front desk were very knowledgable of the area. The door men were friendly and funny.

disappointed with servicePosted Jul 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful hotel conveniently within walking distance of Summer fest. The room was comfortable and clean. We had the buffet breakfast, but there was a hair in my eggs brought directly from the kitchen. The server apologized and brought a new plate of eggs. We also paid extra for valet parking "in a secured lot". It would be less than half to park in the open lot across the intersection from the hotel. The car was still out front, parked on the street in the hotel loading zone where they told us to leave it the day before upon our arrival. There was a parking ticket on it. The manager apologized and told us he would pay for the ticket. There was no offer of discount on the breakfast nor the parking.

Gem in the downtown areaPosted Jul 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Looks like this was an old historic building that the Hilton group picked up and restored. Beautiful entryway - rooms are large and comfortable. If you need to be downtown or near the Summerfest grounds, its great. Room was clean (although slightly musty), large windows to let light in but thick enough drapes to keep all the light out when needed. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again
