Good hotel with helpful staff, close to 3rd ward

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Location is excellent, close to the historic third ward and to the Milwaukee Public Museum, and the river walk is very relaxing. The room walls lack good sound insulation, so I could hear my neighbors, but otherwise the experience was excellent.

Location: We love being in the middle of so many interesting things to do in the city.
Everything was just as we expected. We've stayed here several times and it never disappoints.

Close to Marquette, Bradley Center, 3rd Ward

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Bathrooms are dated.
Location: Bucks and Golden Eagles games, fine dining, Marquette U campus, Milwaukee Art Center, lakefront, Bradford beach in the summer, 3rd Ward etc.
There are good to fine restaurants nearby and the Bradley Center is a few blocks away. The room was quiet and there was little to no noise in the hallway. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

Pleasant

The hotel is conveniently located downtown. The rooms were comfortable. The bathrooms need updating, and were not as clean as I would like them to be. But overall I was very satisfied.

Very nice experience

Style wise, I prefer the Pfister, but the Intercontinental is a very nice hotel. The lobby is contemporary, but elegant. The bar is nice, but oddly shaped, which makes mingling difficult. The staff is top notch, from the front desk staff to the barkeeps to the valet. One day housekeeping didn't visit my room, but that's because I was there when they first arrived and they simply forgot to return. I wasn't upset by it. The only disappointing thing is that $32 per day is too much to pay for valet service. It should be something like $20.
