Just renovate the bathrooms and you'll get a 5Posted May 21, 2015
This hotel has so much potential. It's down the road from a really nice mall, most rooms over look a country club golf course, has an indoor pool and game area, a connected restaurant will be opening soon, and the rooms have been renovated with new carpet, new beds, and new wonderful pillows. But... the hallways smell. The doors are falling apart and the finishes on the hardware are worn off. The bathrooms have the original ugly brown, late 1970's tile. Keep up the renovating and I'll be back.

Weekend GetawayPosted May 20, 2015
Me and my girlfirend stayed here after a trip to the Miller Brewery and a Brewers game. The location is great, being right off the highway and being near shopping and food. The lobby bathroom was under construction making it mostly un useable. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. house keeping did miss a couple spots in the bathroom, but overall it was good value for the money spent.

Nice amenities, but managed poorly.Posted May 19, 2015
Even though the hotel is a bit out of date, we did like all the amenities it had to offer. The room was comfortable and overlooked a beautiful golf course. The pool area had a glass roof so the sun shined in nicely. The real problem with this hotel is the management/staff. When we checked in the lady was quiet and cold. They dragged garbage up and down floors in customer elevators. And the breakfast, while tasting good, was run terribly. Nothing was cooked at the same time so we kept having to go back to the line for our food, plus the waffle maker didn't work so the incompetent manager kept trying to fix it. To top it all off one of the workers stood in front of the line complaining loudly to another staff member about her hours etc. At checkout she answered the phone in front of us mistakenly using the name "Super 8" instead of "Midway." It was interesting...

OK stayPosted May 14, 2015
Pros: The front desk staff was helpful and welcoming in the morning.
This hotel is OK, you get what you pay for. I had stayed here before and kind of knew what I was getting. I was, however, surprised at how rude and unwelcoming the employee was when checking in. I used to work front desk at a hotel, and I guess it never killed me to at least say "hello" to guests when they arrived. Breakfast was included in the stay but I didn't get down to eat until towards the end of the breakfast hours (it was still within the hours), and most of the food was gone and that's just the way it was when I asked staff. The TV did not work and cut in and out the entire hour it was on. So, again, you get what you pay for, it was a cheap place to stay.

Probably really nice around 1982Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: Price was right.
Cons: Update the whole place.
Location: It's Milwaukee. Lots to do.
This hotel is very dated. Dark woodwork & doors. Creaky old elevator. Everything about the place says 1980's. Atrium area seemed cluttered with game machines and such. That said, the room was clean and quiet. Free breakfast wasn't too bad. Real bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs and other stuff.

Will definitely stay again!Posted May 7, 2015
Took my two grandchildren on a mini one night vacation. Choose Midway due to it's pool, but was hesitant as I remember this place from when I lived in the area years ago. It had gotten run down. Room was updated. Bathroom updated and very appealing. Beds comfortable. Fridge in the room (as cheap as microwaves are, a small one would have made the room perfect). Buffett breakfast in the atrium was comfortable, food nice, more than I expected. A bit confusing as to where to put the buffet tickets. Pool was clean and comfortable. Whirlpool perfect. Only two negatives: there was a large party next door. They weren't loud, but all the way until 1:30 in the morning one of the small children ran up and down the hallway, over and over and over (I believe the child left a gummy bear on the doorknob, which made me smile. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The bottom of the toilet had what looked to be fecal matter floating around. It flushed away with one flush, which proved it wasn't a stain. The grandkids, age 5 & 7 loved it, which means we will be back. Hopefully at a lower price.

DisappointedPosted May 4, 2015
Pros: We liked the pool area.
Cons: Staff and cleanliness.
We had two rooms - one for my husband & I and also a room for our Son, Daughter-in-law and their two boys. The pool area was very nice, but that's the only nice thing I can say. Breakfast was included with our stay - but they were short staffed, so had to wait for the main entree dishes. Our Son & family had brought their own pillows, but forgot to take them with when packing up. A few hours later, they were still in the area and went back to the hotel, but were told they didn't have the pillows. My Daughter-in-law summed it up - this hotel is poorly managed.
