A Suite Spot on the way to ChicagoPosted Nov 30, 2013
Cons: I didn't like it that they did not have a full hot breakfast setup on Thanksgiving morning. Enough, just not what my father-in-law bragged about.
We had a nice stay in very clean rooms in an easy to find hotel off I-94 on a short trip to Chicago. We needed a place to meet family for thanksgiving. The rooms have a great set up in that the bedroom area can be closed off from a living/work area. We had two adjoining rooms joined between the work/living area of the rooms, which was just the ticket. Some of us could visit comfortably while others took naps. And kids could watch TV in the bedroom area while Dad watched football in the work/living area. We will remember this place!

Suite was a small room when you first walk in, furniture was crowded in and when door was open to the bedroom part it went about half way into the room. The AC did not help cool this little room. No fan in the bathroom. Broken tile in the bathroom. Nice to have a 24 hour pool. Breakfast mediocre.

Everything is starting to get worn down: tears in carpet, lumpy mattress, old key card system on doors and hot tub not working. Pepsi machine was out of all flavors except grape soda & coke machine was not working forcing you to buy from the front desk if you did not want to leave the hotel. Not enough table and chairs in the breakfast area, but there was a variety of choices and it was all hot.

A bit old and smelly.Posted Aug 12, 2013
We picked this hotel because of location, which is funny because we almost didn't find it because it recently had a name change (from Comfort Suites) and we weren't advised. It was okay for a cheaper place to stay close to where we needed to be early Sunday morning for a race, but this is an old hotel, and while clean, it is a bit outdated and the hallway smelled unpleasant. Luckily that did not carry over into the rooms. The rooms did have mini fridge for use, and a sitting area, but its not the type of place you are going to hang out and relax in.

Breakfast includedPosted Jul 29, 2013
We were pleasantly surprised by the offerings for breakfast. We expected a simple supply of cereals & Danishes. However it was a full breakfast buffet with sausage, French toast etc. it was enough to get us started on our day out economically

Pay a lot for a littlePosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotels.com advertised Quality Inn as a Comfort Hotel with 3+ stars from the guests. You have to be kidding me. The hotel was very outdated and run down. I paid for a King Suite with a hot tub - the mirror around the hot tub had the imprint of someones butt cheeks and other spray. Disgusting. If it wasnt late and I didnt have to get up at 3:51am to race I would have checked out. It was VERY OVERPRICED!

Pros: Proximity to where I was going and the genuinely nice staff.
Cons: It was the first warm evening of the year and getting our room cooled down took a bit but that is to be expected.
Location: Great place if visiting Carthage College or Parkside campus and only about a 20 minute drive to a large outlet mall in IL.
The only "problem" I had was the hotel had changed names between my booking and arrival...the staff was very understanding about my confusion. There was road construction in the area that made getting around a little tough but the room, staff and conditions were all suitable for our purposes!
