“Would gladly stay there again”

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel and rooms are clean, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious... the hotel used to be an old department store and the ceiling height in the room is amazing, you definitely won't feel cramped. I thought the breakfast each morning was one of the best hotel breakfast offerings I have experienced. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a bridge system you can access from the second floor that leads to the Milwaukee Grand Avenue mall, so if the weather isn't good you won't have to walk outside if you want to pick up a few things. If you do want to walk around outside you are on the scenic river walk, and there are several restaurants close by.

“Happy in Milwaukee!”

This hotel sits right on the river and is walkable to all the lakefront activities. There is nightlife down river that again is an easy walk. I would stay here again.

“good value/clean hotel”

We initially picked this hotel rather than at the convention hotel because of the price. We are glad we did. It was so much nicer, cleaner, and quieter than the convention hotel AND for much less.

“The Residence is always a good choice ... 2 for 2 so far..”

We stayed at the residence inn in memphis tenn. and it was awesome so we thought we would try the one in milwaukee, and not to our surprise it was the same if not a little better. The employees at the desk were great, upon check-in we told the girl we would like a good veiw from our room and she said she would give us the best view in the place and I think she did. Our room was very clean and so pretty the view was great.. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night just to enjoy the room. The breakfast is always great, and each morning while eating it always crosses my mind that " I can't beleive that this great breakfast is included in our room price" free internet was also great. The parking was 17 bucks a night but the garage was a piece of mind u didn't have to worry about ur car. Had some mix up about the parking charges, we paid cash for our parking and they ended up charging our card also, but they did fix their mistake... We love the residence inn!!!

Events and shows

We went to the bradley center and watched the Celtics beat the Bucks!!! It was awesome.. Also the Harley Davidson muesum was fun..

“great location Millwuakee best”

Great room contected to a shopping area and a great Irish Pub across the street. It was below zero temps that weekend and the parking garage was heated. Everybody from mantinece to the front desk was great. Good breakfast on the weekends and the front desk also told us where to order pizza late at night. that was fantastic.

“Great downtown location”

Being here for the first time, it seemed like a great way to get to know this famous city. The river is right outside and the river walk is a great place to spend a warm Summer evening. Unfortunately, dining selections are limited and pricey here, so you'll need a car to get out to see the "real" food options. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't stay downtown and would find a close-by area for less expense and more dining options.

“Great place to stay”

Very spacious room with super high ceilings and floor to ceiling window view of the river. Lots of room to spread out, with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen makes this a great place to stay with kids. I was very happy with our location...near numerous restaruantsand the River Walk, and within walking distance to Milwaukee Public Museum, Library, etc. We walked everywhere once checking in, but traffic was minimal, so driving wouldn't have been a problem. I'll stay there again if I'm ever in Milwaukee.

“Clean, Spacious rooms”

“Wonderful, stayed a second night”

At check in, we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the Milwaukee River. We were delighted in our room, - so much that we asked to stay another night. The desk clerk, could not offer us a nightly rate as low as Expedia, so she recommended we book online with Expedia for another night, which we did. The hotel was conveniently located, across the street from the YMCA, Grand Avenue Mall, Riverside Theater, and only a short walk to the Third Ward. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
