Diappointing TruthPosted Oct 15, 2013
The hotel is undergoing remodelling so we can understand the mess. What was disdainful is to be told by the hotel staff that because I booked through Expedia we were therefore relegated to the old rooms on the third floor and cannot stay in the rooms that have been recently remodelled.

Liked my stayPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: The hotel was easy to find, close to my event, and it offered many places to eat nearby.
Cons: No fault of the hotel, but the roads leading to it were under much construction.
I arrived late and the front desk staff was very nice and pleasant, and check-in was a breeze. The room was adequate --- clean, nice comfortable beds, and a wide variety of TV stations. I did not take advantage of the free continental breakfast, but that was my choice not to. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay with them again.

Very friendly staff.Posted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: The staff, location, room size.
Cons: I just wish the Air conditioner had a manual fan setting, it shut off automatically and that's always a peeve of mine no matter where I am.
Location: The location is great, Kenosha is a very small town with one central hub of business located next to I94, with many restaurants and stores.
While I wasn't expecting much in the way of luxury from a Super 8, I was very pleased with the kindness of the hotel staff, check in/out was a breeze, the room was perfect for what I needed.

Nice hotel but surrounded by constructionPosted Sep 22, 2013
Late night staff was very nice. I really liked her hospitality. I would go again. The rate was resonable.

Less $$ hotel near the Bristol Renaissance FairePosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff! Proximity to the festival. New TV. Mini-fridge. Price.
Cons: Instructions on thermostat. Wi-fi was spotty but usable.
Location: Bristol Renaissance Festival! Conveniences at that exit - we used Walgreens and the minimarts/gas station right next door.
We came from out of state for a concert in Chicago and for the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Kenosha. For Kenosha we stayed at Super 8. Our stay was overall satisfactory. They had a very friendly staff. The room was clean but it seemed to be an older facility. There was a nice new flat panel tv and some other updates. The climate control had been recently changed and the a/c would get nice and cool but wouldn't stay on. In their defense, I did not request assistance so maybe user error was the problem - a small sign posted would help those not inclined to bother the staff? It was just one exit from the Faire which was awesome because we came back for cool showers in the middle of the hot day and then returned for more Faire fun. It was also right next door to several conveniences and though we didn't go, 10 minutes from the lake. Free breakfast was offered. Great deal for the money!

Was a good hotel to stay at if you don't plan to spend a lot of time there.

late night disappointmentPosted Aug 18, 2013
It took forever to get checked in at 1:30 am. The stairs were filthy and should have been our first clue about the condition our room would be in. We requested a non-smoking room due to smoke allergies. Upon arriving on our "non-smoking" floor the smell of smoke permeated every inch of the hall and our room. The whole place just felt dirty. Too tired to continue on our trip we decided to tough it out. This will be our last stay at a Super 8.

it is a decent price for a roomPosted May 28, 2013
had trouble sleeping because the mattress was stiffer than i am used to.. not really their fault however the have construction going on at this unit and there was some noise.... also the rooms are not a insulated from noise as some other motels we have stayed we could hear noise in the hallway most nights.
