The hotel location is ideal. Right downtown in the center. I recommend the club level so you can have access to the 23rd floor lounge for the breakfast ,view and midday snacks. Its worth the upgrade.

Top flight turn-of-the (19th) century preservation

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Loved the authentic1893 architecture and decoration. Breakfast and view on the 23rd floor (for special guests) was outstanding.
Cons: Food in the café and other ground floor restaurants was OK but not spectacular.
Location: Really didn't have time for that - but there were maps and good publicity re: rest of the city.
Stayed for 3 nights for a professional conference. Choose it for its history and would definitely go back.

Pfister Club Lounge Worth Every Penny!

Posted Nov 6, 2014
We just finished a three-day stay at the Pfister Hotel on a 'club' floor. The Club Lounge was a fantastic place to sit, relax, refresh and have a drink and snacks. We visited it in the morning for breakfast, afternoon for a break, and evening for appetizers and drinks. The view is fantastic, during the day and at night, the atmosphere friendly and comfortable - like having a home away from home! The hotel's location is superb and within walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Parking was a breeze and uberconvenient. A great place to stay!

Excellent, historic hotel...

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: The hotel and rooms are charming and comfortable, yet the rates are surprisingly affordable.
Cons: Some of the elevators are slow and could use an upgrade.
Location: The location is close to the city market, art museums, two historic theatres, and trusted restaurants.
I highly recommend this hotel. The location is ideal for Milwaukee, the hotel has a rich history, the rooms are very comfortable, the staff is helpful and cordial, and the food is tasty -- both the adjoining restaurants and room service. I also enjoyed the club-level amenities and the club-level lounge Blu.

Nice Hotel well maintained

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: The ammenities
Location: The location is near Marquette University which is perfect for us
We arrived a little late in the day and pretty tired from a long day of travel. We were greeted cordially and assigned a room. As we got off the elevator there was music that continued to get louder and louder as we approached. Apparently there was a wedding reception happening just above our assigned room. Like being front row center at a concert. I was graciously accommodated with another room but could not help thinking to myself "why would anyone assign a room that was so close to a party". Other than that a nice room but for the price there are other properties downtown that I prefer.

The Pfister is as lovely as the first time I stayed there 20 years ago. It can always be counted on to deliver consistent and great service.
