Pros: All the amenities. Even offered complimentary iPads in the Starbucks downstairs.
Cons: Overnight parking was expensive. Discount for guests, maybe?
Nice, quiet room. Couldn't hear people in the hall or next door.

I'll be back:

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Was looking for a four or five star hotel with a good view of Lake Michigan. Book through Expedia while in transit back to Lexington, Kentucky after spending time at the Oshkosh air show in Wisconsin. Never stayed with them before, but I certainly will hunt them down for future stays. Staff was professional and courteous. The accommodations were excellent and tasteful. The restaurant that was attached to the hotel was also excellent. Hotel had an old world atmosphere with up-to-date accommodations. Above all, the beds were extremely comfortable and plush. Upon the morning departure, called the valet to bring around car and by the time I was in the lobby the vehicle was there. I do not travel as much as I used to, but, from now on when I do, I will be looking for this chain when I book. Personal experience far exceeded expectations.

Excellent hotel

The Pfister is a wonderful hotel. The facilities are immaculate and the attention to detail is second to none. The staff is very friendly without "hovering" over you. We ate at two of the restaurants in the hotel and had wonderful meals and attentive, helpful service. Make sure to go to Blu on the 23rd floor to have a drink or dessert. The view at night is amazing. If you are ever in Milwaukee and want to stay somewhere special, definitely make it the Pfister.

Beautiful and Historic but Pet Friendly... beware

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location Club Level Club Level Staff
Cons: Pet Policy (at least clarification)
Location: Downtown Milwaukee - so so much to do. Clubs, bars, food, fun.
This hotel is stunning! Great location, terrific building, conveniently located for food and fun. HEAVILY researched - before booking - the pet policy. What was clarified on Expedia was different than what turned out upon check-in. $100 non-refundable fee not mentioned anywhere. Also, check-in staff was not inviting at all but the Club Lounge staff was AMAZING! Would go back, without our dog. Some children there but I would say it is geared toward adults.

We loved the history of the hotel and its grandness. You could walk every where from that hotel. It was fun going up to the "Blu" and seeing firewords! Great experience!

Historical

Pros: Everything...the restaurants, the staff in every department ESP the desk and bell captains (
Cons: See above
Location: The Calatrava is the best.
Liked the historic and beautiful restoration. Only one thing made it less than perfection....I like bright ,side of the bed lighting for reading in bed.
