In the heart of the city

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The atmosphere and friendly employees
Location: Great shopping, museums, bars, restraunts, Lake Michigan, and many neighborhoods with their own personality!
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Pfister! The perfect blend of old and new. Historic feeling the moment you enter the lobby, with it's soaring hand painted ceiling, and the helpful concierge decked out in tails! Convenient lobby bar, where you can see the coming and goings of the interesting mix of guests. We stayed in the tower rooms, which were just remodeled last month, and they were gorgeous! Every room has a large bay window, ours with a view of Lake Michigan. We dined with room service one night and had breakfast each morning in the diner. Service was quick and the food was delicious. Hotel is located in the heart of the city, and it's an easy walk to many shops, restraunts, bars and the Riverwalk area is only blocks away. Even a cab ride from one side of downtown to the other was only 6 bucks! We also used the public bus as our transportation to a ball game at Miller Park for only 2 dollars each. Can't say enough about the Pfister, and all the employees, can't wait to go back! Y F T

Beautiful hotel, great staff and centrally located

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Room, location and staff was great. Really a top notch facility. The club facility upstairs was great for breakfast and snacks.
Cons: nothing I can think of
Location: Walkable - Art Museum, Discovery Center and Children's museum Further - Public museum (natural history) Hard to find convenience stores close
We really enjoyed this hotel. It was great for the family and was very central to all of the Milwaukee sites. I would definitely look to stay here again for a weekend away from the Chicago. Relatively close and fun for the family.

Perfect hotel!

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Everything: room, location.
Cons: There are not a lot of places to eat/drink nearby in the evening. That being said, the onsite restaurants and lounges are terrific.
Location: Art museum.
The Pfister is a terrific hotel. Clean. Centrally located in downtown Milwaukee, only two blocks from the art museum. Also, the bus that goes to Miller Park (Brewers baseball) stops in front of the hotel. I highly recommend paying extra for club lounger access: full breakfast and free internet. It's a great deal.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Location, service, staff friendliness.
Cons: Charge for wifi in the rooms. But it is free in the lobby, business center and Club areas.
Location: Walking distance to the Art Museum, Old Third Ward and Public Market (a great place to explore with lots of great eating and drinking options).
A true luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Close to restaurants, bars, museums, the Old Third Ward, Public Market, Riverwalk and other downtown offerings. Great staff, a very comfortable room, great amenities, like a pool on the 23rd floor with a spectacular view, and a basement area fitness room with cardio machines equipped with televisions and head phones. Avail yourself of the 'Club' upgrade. For the small up charge, the clubby room on the 23rd floor has wonderful complementary breakfasts, newspapers wifi, and appetizers, along with very reasonably priced beer, wine and spirits on the honor system. A spectacular view and a very pleasant place to relax, morning or evening. A lovely stay!

Do not up grade, does not make a difference other than more money into their pockets!!!! The club room on the 23 rd floor not worth the extra $$$$$

Wonderful Hotel.

Location: Milwaukee has a market with a fish place in it which is AMAZING!!!! Check it out. St. Paul's Fish Company.
Great experience in heart of Milwaukee! Restaurants were both wonderful as was the bar in the center of the hotel! Lovely old world charm!! Great location. We have relatives here so I am sure every time we visit this will be our hotel of choice! The rooms were very comfortable and got nice and cold, if you wanted, so you wouldn't have to sleep in heat like some hotels have you do as part of their temperature controls. The beds were fantastic as well. We have tempurpedics at home and those aren't the same but they were still VERY comfortable!!
