Wonderful Hotel.

Location: Milwaukee has a market with a fish place in it which is AMAZING!!!! Check it out. St. Paul's Fish Company.
Great experience in heart of Milwaukee! Restaurants were both wonderful as was the bar in the center of the hotel! Lovely old world charm!! Great location. We have relatives here so I am sure every time we visit this will be our hotel of choice! The rooms were very comfortable and got nice and cold, if you wanted, so you wouldn't have to sleep in heat like some hotels have you do as part of their temperature controls. The beds were fantastic as well. We have tempurpedics at home and those aren't the same but they were still VERY comfortable!!

Class, right downtown

Posted Aug 25, 2014
We booked a suite with an advanced purchase rate. Not cheap, but a good deal for what we had. Room was huge with a sitting area and bedroom. Like a 2 room apartment. Comfortable big bed. Hung out in lobby area bar several nights and had very good service.

Beautiful hotel

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The ambience
Location: Great location to the river
After dropping our son off at college in Madison WI, we stayed one night in Milwaukee at the Pfister. It is a beautiful historic hotel. Our suite was big enough for a family of four. To bad we were only there one night.

Great Hotel Close to Everything

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Hotel itself has character and class combined.
Location: Riverwalk. Restaurants and bars. Breweries. Miller Park - many bars have shuttles to and from the game.
Hotel staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Hotel had a fantastic ambiance. Walking distance to Riverwalk . Lots of great restaurants nearby. Phister featured a lobby bar, a rooftop bar, and a fantastic steakhouse as well. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

Pros: All the amenities. Even offered complimentary iPads in the Starbucks downstairs.
Cons: Overnight parking was expensive. Discount for guests, maybe?
Nice, quiet room. Couldn't hear people in the hall or next door.

I'll be back:

Was looking for a four or five star hotel with a good view of Lake Michigan. Book through Expedia while in transit back to Lexington, Kentucky after spending time at the Oshkosh air show in Wisconsin. Never stayed with them before, but I certainly will hunt them down for future stays. Staff was professional and courteous. The accommodations were excellent and tasteful. The restaurant that was attached to the hotel was also excellent. Hotel had an old world atmosphere with up-to-date accommodations. Above all, the beds were extremely comfortable and plush. Upon the morning departure, called the valet to bring around car and by the time I was in the lobby the vehicle was there. I do not travel as much as I used to, but, from now on when I do, I will be looking for this chain when I book. Personal experience far exceeded expectations.
