Great waffles...

When we first walked in to check into our room another guest was up at the counter because he had found a bloody tampon in his ice bucket. Gross. We booked our room for the whirl pool suite. The Jets however worked off and on...and then stayed on. The hotel staff wouldn't do anything about it. The loud rattling continued on all through the night. We got little sleep. The front desk man told us that he wouldn't do anursing about it because we booked through expedia and not them personally. Never planning to visit here again.

Nice hotel for the money!

Pros: Staff very friendly.
Cons: Family had a birthday party in the lobby. They had slow cookers set-up with some unpleasant smells. Everyone has different tastes...
Location: Close to a Walmart and I494 access.
Clean and quiet room! Swimming pool and free continental breakfast available! Helpful and friendly staff!

Decent hotel near the interstate and hotel

Pros: There honestly was not much to like about this hotel except the air conditioner works well.
Cons: Just about everything needs to be improved.
Location: There is an Outback restaurant near the hotel, and the mall of America is only about 10 miles from there.
The front desk clerk made several parties (including us) wait for at least 5 minutes while he handled a personal phone call. Not a good start to our stay at this AmericInn. Once it was our chance to check in, the clerk could not find our reservation and wouldn't help by calling the other AmericInn across town. Only once I called them personally did the clerk suddenly "find" our missing reservations. The room was shabby and old, with a musty odor and stained bedcovers. Overall the room wasn't bad though and everything was clean. None of the staff was helpful. For a service industry, there was no sense of service in this group of people. Lastly, the hotel has a worn, rundown look to it.

Airport Taxi Service

Pros: The fact that they had a taxi service.
Cons: Mention that its a taxi service and not have on Expedia that its a shuttle service. There's a difference.
Location: It was nice that it had a gas station right across the street if we needed anything to drink , ect.
It was nice with the simple fact that they had a taxi service to the airport. That's what sold me. Plus the rate of the hotel was a very decent amount for one nice. Nice and quiet place to stay for the night.

Friendly, welcoming hotel near the airport

Pros: Fantastic staff
Cons: Hotel information should mention that it is necessary to call for transportation from the airport and provide a telephone no to do so.
Basic hotel made wonderful by friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including coffee maker and free wifi. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. They provide free transportation from the airport via a local taxi firm, great arrangement but you need to call the hotel from the airport.

Nice hotel close to Mall of America.

Cons: Staff should know how to get around by bus or train and have some knowledge of the Mall of America times, etc.
Room was clean. Breakfast adequate. Only problem was front desk staff was not very helpful with directions or Mall opening/closing times but all in all we enjoyed our stay and found our own way around through Google.
