“Excellent Accommodation”

From the effort made to accommodate our needs, to the fine breakfasts this was a very pleasant place to stay. Close to shopping (Walmart, Target, Cub (supermarket), historic Stillwater (birthplace of MN, and home to many antique shops and botiques), and the Twin Cities (20 minutes to the zoo in St. Paul).

“Would use this hotel again”

This hotel had the best prices compared to other hotels in the area. Even though the prices in this area are high I would use them again if I were visiting Stillwater.

“Walls too thin”

The room had dirt in the corners and some on the tile in bath. The room was very small and furniture was crowded. The walls were very thin. I could hear someone snoring in the next room. People came in at all hours and were heedless of other patrons who needed sleep. Our room was a non-smiking room, but the rooms on the other side of the hall were smoking. Everytime we entered the hallway it reeked of cigarette smoke. The only redeeming factor for us was the pool area - suprisingly large and warm for a hotel like this.

“Clean and quiet”

We were fine with the Americas Best Value Inn. There were no frills: the room was small and somewhat crowded but clean and provided for our needs with an in room coffee maker and small refrigerator. Pillows were hard and lumpy; towels were thin and only two were provided each time. Breakfast was quite plain: two kinds of cereal, coffee, milk, oj, toast, muffins and a sweet roll available. One morning only was fruit added. Coffee was weak with powdered creamer only. The breakfast room only had three tables and unfortunately, during our stay they were occupied by several members of an extended family celebrating Christmas every morning. This was with the pool and whirlpool and lobby as well. They were fun to watch, but pretty much confined us to our room. We appreciated the friendliness of the managers and staff but they were only available when called. No one staffed the desk. The motel is close to the highway for dining, sight-seeing and shopping which is very nice.

“Value Stay Near Highway”

This hotel is great value for the money. HD television, comfortable beds, clean bathroom. I would recommend new carpeting in the rooms.

OK for the money but I would not reccommend.

“Not impressed”

The electric seemed a little shoddy--lights and alarm clock would crackle whenever anything was turned on. There was hair all over the bathroom and bed when I arrived. The pool was cold and the hot tub was luke warm. However, the people were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was sufficient. If I weren't terrified of the electrical, I would maybe go back.

“Better than expected.”

Our room was clean, better than i thought after reading previous reviews. The chair in the room was unstable but we didn't really use it. The building did smell like smoke which was displeasing but overall it was a good room for a good price.
