Had two great stays

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Staff Shuttle Room and bed comfort Cleanliness
Cons: A better breakfast would be great. On the other hand I'm not sure who would pay for it.
Location: Directly opposite Mall of America. Close to MSP airport.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation and the facilities. I thought that being a Best Western I would be struggling to enjoy my stay(s). It turned out really well on both the occasions I stayed there. Staff are great and very helpful. The shuttle service to/from Mall of America and the airport is great. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel has an amazing indoor swimming complex I didn't get time to use. Breakfast is very basic but sufficient to get you going in the morning. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

So comfortable!! Five star beds!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Overall outstanding, a few concerns. Let's start with the amazing- softest beds on the planet, plush rooms, cozy and nicely decorated. Quiet hotel, fun pool for the adults and kids- the salt water pool was soothing, no red eyes, plus softest hair and skin afterwards. Continental breakfast was above par for hotel free breakfasts! Lots of food, clean facility. Now...some points of concern- snippy and rude front desk..no reason for it, just *itchy staff it seemed...we asked about a future stay, doing park and fly, and the girl just got snotty saying it couldn't be booked on Expedia (which it can) and that we have to do it in advance(she didn't even ask the dates we were looking at) ...seemed to not want us to consider coming back, by her tone. We had just registered, so it was a crummy first impression of the staff. Some concerns with room...the towels that were hanging up looked dirty- a few long black hairs on them and something green(toothpaste?). Television satellite was out while we were there...maintenance seemed more interested in a tip, than helping. It was never fixed. Overall, we liked the place...especially for the pool and comfy beds, but maybe just a note to the management to keep an eye on the cleanliness, customer service, and amenities of satelite service(horrible, barely worked.)

Pros: had a great pool, spa area with aseperate pool for kids.and a good exercise room. had a free shuttle to the mall, the airport and the light rail station
Cons: the right-up said they had a sauna, but they don't. that was one of the reasons i booked this hotel.
Location: across the street from the mall, has a restaurant attached, tgi fridays just down the street.
hotel was nice, but we had requested a king bed and had to settle for a room with 2 queens.

Won't stay here again

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The staff was not very helpful at all
Location: Mall of America and Light Rail Train
We had booked through expedia and booked a King Bed.We got to the hotel, checked in,headed to our room to find out that we are in a room with 2 double beds.I call front desk and told that when you book through expedia they don't care about the room you book they just want their money and you get put in whatever kind of room.I booked our room 6 months in advance and could not see why I did not get the king bed.The girl at the front desk told me we were basically stuck in that room. I asked to speak to the GM and he called me back promptly. We talked about the situation and though we could not be moved as the hotel was full we did work out a solution. Thank you Chris. We checked out August 23, 2014 and realized 2 days later that we had forgotten our bathing suits and shampoo in the washroom.I called the hotel on August 25, 2014 to see if we could come by to pick them up as we were heading back into Minneapolis on Thursday. They wrote up a form with the description and all of the information and said that they would call me back.By the time Thursday came we still hadn't heard from them, so since we were heading over that way anyway we would stop. Well I was meant at the front desk with a you need to fill out the required forms and I said it was done on Monday. They called housekeeping and said they could not find anything.I again talked to GM and he said that he would get back to me.He never did.My question: WHERE DID ALL OUR STUFF GO? Very dissapointed DON'T STAY HERE

Wonderful Hotel close to Mall of America

Posted Sep 1, 2014
We were put in two connecting rooms on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately my daughter had broken her foot and was on crutches, so the room we were in was not convenient. As we were walking to breakfast I commented that I wished there was another elevator, a staff member over heard and told us where the other elevator was. It didn't help and I said as much, we were told to go to the front desk and explain the situation, which we did. They moved us to new connected rooms on the main floor steps from the pool and breakfast room. Above and beyond what I would have expected. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were excellent with the hot item changing everyday. Will definitely be going back.

Awesome hotel, a little pricey.

Posted Aug 30, 2014
I love this hotel despite the fact that it's a bit pricey. But you pay for what you get. Great location right next to Mall of America. Awesome indoor waterpark for little ones with pool side options you can pay extra for. Good fitness centre. Delicious hot breakfast that changed everyday. Mall and airport shuttle service available as well. Red Rossa Grill had delicious food as well for room service. Overall we would come back again, but be prepared to pay a bit more than other hotels.

Excellent, family-friendly hotel!

Posted Aug 29, 2014
The pool was the highlight of our stay...warm, saltwater, water features perfect for small children (and big kids too). Our room was wonderful, but we found the bathroom a little tight. The toilet was "public restroom" style with no tank (made for an uncomfortable BM, if I'm honest). Highly recommend this hotel, whether you are a mall rat or not!

Pleasant surprise

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Not knowing how many floors the hotel had, I was hoping for a high floor overlooking the city. When I arrived and saw that it only had two floors, I was a bit disappointed because I wouldn't have an aerial view of the city. But I was located on a secluded courtyard which had zero traffic noise. The room was large, clean and well-furnished.
