“Great hotel showing some wear”
This hotel is cheap with free cooked breakfast and wifi. It is showing some wear and the bathrooms are old. Beds were comfortable.
“Somewhat dated, but good value”
As other reviewers have stated, the hotel's decor is dated, but the location and size of the suite made up for that. My accomodations consisted of a room with a sofa bed, large table, and wet bar, and a bedroom and bath, with a vanity and sink in the bedroom. The bed was comfortable, with nice bedding. There were TV's and phones in both rooms. A breakfast bar with made-to-order omlettes was included. There's a game room, pool, hot tub, and very spacious lobby with an atrium. Parking was not included, but available in the attached ramp. A daily flat fee is charged with in-and-out access. The room was clean and quiet.
“Very Nice Hotel - Great Location”
Front desk reception at check in was very nice and helpful. I was working in town for two days so I asked at reservation time if I could park in the morning of day 1 and leave the car until after work on day 2 and this was no problem. This made for a nice savings on parking since it is unlimited in/out. My only complaint is that in the morning teh hot water ran out VERY quick and never was truly hot. The included breakfast was good and fairly quick.
“not impressed”
I would expect a hotel to make sure "hookers " where not allowed to inhabit the lobby and indoors courtyard area.
“Not Impresses”
This was one of my least favorite hotels. Starting with daily parking validations to an Air Filter for the AC that was not cleaned in a long time, hair in the room, cracked sink and holes in the chair inside my room. TV's were 10 years old with VCR in one! Overall the room was not clean and this was a below average hotel.
“Crappy Hotel”
This hotel was nothing as pictured. While the hotel front desk was friendly and helpful, the actual room was very disappointing. Everything in the room was old. This hotel is in desperate need of a makeover.
“Prairie Home”
Excellent location, rooms very large, nice amenities, breakfast is great and exercise room is best I have ever seen in a hotel that size.
“Great place and easy to get to from the light rail”
Maybe this hotel may seem a little seedy on the ground floor but the hotel is on the 8th floor and I had a great stay. I walked to the Convention Center each day and once you figure out the short cuts it's only a 5 block walk. Head straight to the church. A couple of cross walks are missing but the traffic isn't difficult. I enjoyed the happy hour and excellent salads. The breakfast can't be beat with made to order omelets. Would return without any question.
“Good for the Money”
Big, spacious suites. Believe it or not, three sinks and two TVs. Nice atrium. Some of the decor seems old and cheap, as if it belongs in an 80s K car, but most of it is sylish, as far as hotels go. I didn't like the multiple elevators required to reach your room or the maid service that starts before you wake up and ends at noon--what's that all about? But for the money, it's a good place to stay when you're in downtown Minneapolis.
“gross 80s decor”
This hotel served its purpose, and was well located -- but man was it gross. The hotel looks like something straight out of the 1980's that hasn't been touched since. The walls were dirty, the building smelled odd and each room had a weird window into the hallway, so you could see if lights were on in each room. On the upside, I suppose -- if you were looking to host a party, or pile a lot of people into the room -- the 'living room' setup would facilitate that really well.
