“Decent for the price”

Our room was large and comfortable. The shower didn't drain well, but that was the only problem. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The breakfast was good.

“Great trip”

This place was great from the moment we stepped to the door. Have no idea why the star rating is not any higher. I have stayed in many places and this is a five star for the middle class travler. Thank you.

“Great place and great price!”

We were very pleased with the motel. The staff was great and friendly. A super deal to stay there in a very nice place.

Area recommendations

Visit all of Stillwater and nearby Hudson, both on the St. Croix River. Lovely shops and restaurants and very near beautiful parks.

“Was the perfect place to stay!”

We were on our way out East and needed a place to stop for the night that was reasonable but nice. We were extremely pleased with our stay here...the value, the service, the condition of the hotel and the location were excellent. The staff was helpful to answer whatever questions we had and the breakfast was a plus! We would definitely consider going here again, but for a longer stay this time!

“Awesome Hotel will return again...”

I have traveled Internationally as well with in the USA and stayed at 35 + hotels in my life time and I am currently 45. With that said, I was very happy with the hotel, the reception people were prompt and courtesy, great. Breakfast was great everything full the waffles and fruit a hit as well as the juices eating room was big and clean, they have a microwave and TV in their you can use and coffee brewing all day for guests. The pool clean and the Jacuzzi great. At the front Desk chocolate chip cookies awaited us in the cookie Jar. The room was bigger then I have seen in majority hotels and the beds were comfortable to a degree no springs sticking or smells. The TV was an older version 32 but it worked great. The bathroom clean as well as the shower and no hair or bugs any where. Location right off of 36 I would say the pool room looked newer as well and located at the front of the hotel. Good hotel for families or couples. So with all that said we will be back and recommend to any people looking for a place to stay to go their. Kerri

Area recommendations

Still Water less then five minutes away. Beautiful place and so many things to do all day from boat cruises, trolly rides, eating, waterfront viewing of the bridge and boat watching and ducks. Tons of shops too. Somerset WI about 18 minutes great place to go tubing and the hotel close to travel back and forth from.

“Adequate”

Adequate if you just need a place to sleep. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous when it came to fixing issues. BIG ISSUE: The room they gave us had not been completely cleaned. The bedding hadn't been changed! Eeeewww! And the trash in the bathroom hadn't been removed. But I think this was an oversight and the hotel took care of it right away. The pool is very small.

“Nothing more than a Super 8 at a Holiday Inn price”

For what we paid, we weren't impressed. Our room wasn't ready by 3, so they transferred us to a different room (which was a downgrade). If you don't like steps, or have a lot of luggage, be sure to ask for a first-floor room, as this motel does not have an elevator. If this was a lower-priced room, it would have been fine, but for what we paid--even with this website's discount--it simply wasn't worth it.

“Double charged at country inn”

On checkout they gave me a receipt showing they charged my visa. When I told them it was a prepaid expedia reservation, they told me everything was fine and the manager was taking care of it and they threw the receipt in the garbage. when I got home I found they charged my credit card anyway. Front desk/ manager refused to call me back. When I complained to the national contact number the manager finally called me back and agreed to refund my money. No apology. Took me days to get it straightened out and ticked me off that they wanted a rack rate on top of the prepaid expedia charge. On the positive side the hotel is in a nice location and there was some very helpful housekeeping women who helped me get into the room because they knew the doorkey reader for my room was no good. breakfast was supposed to be out at 6 but at 7 they were still getting the room ready. room ac/heater vibrated loudly , had to lean a bag against it to quiet it. shower head had low pressure. Theres a new hotel on the other side of the freeway that I think I'll try next year When I'm in this town.
