Great place to stay downtown

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff Great location downtown
Four of us (adults) shared a standard room for a Saturday night. Finding the hotel downtown was very easy. Finding the front desk from the parking ramp was a bit of a trek. The hotel staff was very friendly. They gave us a map of places to go for dinner and fun destinations to enjoy the night life following a Timberwolves game. There is also a car service from the hotel that will take you anywhere downtown for just ten dollars. I highly recommend using that. The room was very clean and somewhat comfortable. There were some issues: 1) The air conditioner unit in the room only produced warm air. We tried every setting, but warm air continued to blow all night long. I took the thermostat down to 65-degrees, but it still only blew warm air. The room felt like it was 90 degrees on Sunday morning. 2) There is no fan in the bathroom. This isn't a big deal and with older hotels it shouldn't be too much of a surprise. But when you have four adults getting ready in the morning and each person using the shower and the other facilities, it would have been nice to have an air flow/exhaust going. 3) There is no fridge in the room. Keep that in mind if you're staying for more than one night. Aside from the main issue (AC not working), we would stay in this hotel again.

Nice hotel, cranky neighbors.

It was fun and I was with my friends, but our neighbor apparently thought we were loud and called hotel security on us.. So yeah. The people over there are uptight!

Night w/out kids

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Cons: Elevators and free internet.
Location: It's downtown Minneapolis, you can do everything.
This is our 2nd time at this hotel. We like the location, rooms are clean and comfy. The elevators seem to be "getting fixed" when we stay, thus waits for them tends to be long. I also would like to not pay for internet.

Visits to Northstar

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: the staff was good helping us and the service was good.
Cons: None
Location: the location is great, but I did not have the time to see the area. From my short time it seems that there are a lots of activities around.
The location of the hotel is in the center of downtown area. We did not get to see much of the area because we had a medical situation that we needed to take care of. If we return for a visit in the future, we will stay at the Crowne Plaza again.

Pros: Liked that this hotel was connected to the skyways.
Cons: Too much noise from up above. We were on the ninth floor and I could hear notice all night long. Overall the place was welcoming.
Stayed here for a dance competition. Liked the hotel. Wished there was a breakfast included though. Staff was very pleasant.

horrible staff

Posted Feb 18, 2015
horrible staff - not helpful at all. didn't care at all the help when I had a Concern about the room and didnt ask how my stay was. the not the mention when I was in my locked room a man from security or maintenance randomly just walked into my room! then our hotel keys stopped working twice! like this this was a horrible stay and I stay in Minneapolis hotels all the time - never again.

Great location. Downtown Minneapolis

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Great location. Staff were great.
Cons: Housekeeping was late each day (after 3pm) and did not refil kleenex/coffee. (hotel was fully booked so I guess understandable).
Location: Connected to skywalk system, which got you everywhere in downtown Minneapolis. Close to Nicolet Mall and great shopping. Also lots of restaurants near
We stayed at the Crown Plaza, Downtown Minneapolis for a 4 day getaway. The location was fabulous. The hotel was connected to the Skywalk system, which made it easy to get around, without freezing in the cold February weather.
