Great location.

Great spot. Makes the price of rooms worth while. But plan your arrival time around events. You'll sit in traffic at least a hour. And vallet parking there is a obscene 28.00 dollars. That's ridiculous. But you have no other choice.

Top notch!

Posted Apr 13, 2014
I have stayed at Graves 601 five or six times, and I can honestly say I've never had anything but high-end experiences. As a frequent traveler/vacationer, I have high expectations for 'nice' hotels. I believe you SHOULD get what you pay for. When I checkout I feel like I got what paid for and thensome. It is extremely rare that I am unable to find at least one thing about a hotel, no matter how insignifigant, that inspires a lighthearted (sometimes not so lighthearted) sarcastic comment or two when someone asks me, "how was your trip?" Of course I would never be so rude as to be sarcastic with hotel staff...that is, unless something truly unacceptable happened, whether it is a high-end hotel or not. I can honestly say I can not think of one thing even remotely negative to say about Graves 601. Top-notch service, genuinely kind, flexible and accommodating staff, ultra clean rooms and common areas, beautifully designed interiors with a contemporary chic, modern vibe, excellent and fun lounge/bar, delicious food, knowledgable concierge, and the best part is the hotel's ridiculously convienient location in downtown Mpls. Go ahead and splurge on great event/game tickets at Target Center and Target Field, or buy another outfit/souvenir for yourself or the kids because you just saved a ton of $$$ on local transportation by staying at Graves 601...at least that's what I did;)

Comfortable, good location, rude front desk staff

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The bed was really comfortable and the maintenance people were responsive.
Our stay got off to a bad start after my wife was dropped off to register while I returned the rental car. The person at the front desk refused to let her register without me so she had to wait in the lobby. After about 5 minutes she was asked to leave the lobby so a bus full of basketball players could fill up the lobby and register. Hotel staff should be able to balance rules and safety with common sense and consideration for ALL their guests. Are there really many instances of middle-aged women (with the same home address on their drivers license as the registered person) trying to register (for 3 nights) for someone else's room? Is this a common crime? Also, a charge for overnight parking service was added to our bill. We didn't have a car during our stay at the hotel. The same clueless front desk person just shrugged it off without an apology.

Long Weekend

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Very modern and upscale
Cons: The entrance area could be a little more inviting. It seemed a little stark.
We stayed for a long weekend. The staff were extremely helpful from check-in to check-out. We didn't use the restaurant or barc facilities, but did look at the menus. The food variety looked impressive and the prices seemed to be reasonable.

Nice hotel not worth the money

The hotel was nice, but it was not worth the $250 a night I paid for. Definitely a let down

close to everything

Cons: the weather:)
Location: great eateries near by
This hotel is close to great restaurants and the metro (light rail). The room was very clean and beds very comfy. My daughter lost a bracelet while we were checking out.... We didn't notice it until we were going through security at the airport. I called the hotel's lost and found and they had it.... a HUGE thank you and recommendation for the staff and hotel.

Great place to stay downtown.

Pros: Location, aesthetic, service.
Cons: Milk in the mini bar for the coffee.
Location: Great location, lots of pubs, entertainment venues, and a few museums nearby. Nicollette shopping, and all of the skywalks were fun to explore.
In addition to the overall pleasant stay, this hotel had all kinds of beautiful details. Illy espresso pods every morning. Gorgeous furniture and fixtures. Lovely soaps. Probably the nicest hotel gym I've ever been in. No pool, but that's ok by me. Also, being located right across from the Target center was perfect for going to a concert, and being in the thick of the excitement. Will be back some day soon!
