Nice hotel, but needs shuttlePosted Feb 9, 2015
Cons: Needs shuttle, at least on the weekends.
The staff had advised that they didn't always have a shuttle service to the Mystic Lake Casino. I decided to give this hotel a try and anyway. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the casino and we ended taking a taxi twice (to and from) because the shuttle wasn't running. After the extra money spent on the taxi, we could of stayed at the casino and it wouldn't of cost that much more. Next time we probably will stay at the casino. The staff was very accommodating in finding a taxi and the hotel is very clean. If I didn't need shuttle I would stay here again.

No hot tub!!Posted Jan 13, 2015
Nice rooms, but in minnesota in the winter you need a hot tub, not a cold pool.

Handy for the local centerPosted Dec 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Yup. Id stay there again. My only wish to make it perfect would be that it has it's own bar and restaurant in-house. But that aside, I like the place!

Service excellencePosted Oct 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Excellent service, especially housekeeping, who went the extra mile to fix a bathroom tub drain. Food was very nice, with good selection, preparation and freshness. Again, the personnel were very helpful, and looked up nutrition information for my dietary needs.

We travel a lot and our company is part of the Hilton members program. We were recently on a business trip on I was running late on the day of check out. Check out was 11am and I asked the front counter for a few extra minutes for check out time. The front counter person was extremely rude and said no we are full tonight and it is not possible. I was a little upset with that as I was not feeling well and I had to rush. Went upstairs to take my shower and they forgot to leave shampoo. Got out of the shower to find they forgot to leave bath towels. This was after a night of not sleeping because of the kids upstairs bouncing on the floor at 2am in the morning. I was very upset when I checked out and told the front counter how disappointed I was with my stay. They were going to give me a free night but I booked on Expedia so they couldn't. They did give me a certificate to stay free one night in their hotel but I doubt I will be back in that area again. Also, their breakfast consisted of plastic utensils and paper plates. I would expect more from Hilton hotel.

Great family getawayPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean carpets and newer finishes.
Cons: While they had hot breakfast choices, they were pretty processed looking. Hand fruit was mediocre (bruised apples, brownish bananas.
Location: We were there for children's museum, zoo, Mall, etc.; it was reasonably close to them, but still 20-30 min. to most things except amusement park.
We wanted to go on a short vacation with our son, his wife, and our granddaughter. We called the hotel directly a few weeks before, and they were able to give us side-by-side rooms. Our three-day (Fri, Sat, Sun) stay was at a substantially higher rate than the week-long rate that our son got. Hotel was definitely brimming over with families there for sports activities (July). Sometimes the boisterousness in the halls was enough to have to go out and speak to some middle schoolers/teens (without adult supervision) around 9:30 p.m.after granddaughter was asleep. Sunday night was definitely quieter. Neither of our king rooms (201, 203) had tubs, only showers; this made it a bit difficult to bathe the toddler as she's scared of the shower. That was probably the only negative about the room, though. Carpet was clean (and looked newer), bathroom looked recently updated, and we had a small microwave and fridge in the room. The TV was a smaller flatscreen, which had some quirks (some stations would send the screen to the floating screensaver mode after a few minutes). Maid staff was excellent and courteous. Hotel is 20 minutes from Mall of America and 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul (when traffic was lighter). There were a fair number of fast-food restaurants within a few-minutes' drive, and a Ruby Tuesday across the parking lot (and a CVS pharmacy in walking distance, too). All in all, exceeded my expectations and I would stay there again.

Great!Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: I personally liked the gym looking into the pool area, I could check on the kids even though my 16 year old was chaperoning.
Location: It was close to the soccer fields and the there was a few good restaurants right next door.
The hotel was nice, the amenities were well maintained, and the breakfast was able to refuel my hoard of soccer players and fans in the morning.
