Beautiful hotel, in heart of downtownPosted Jul 27, 2015
Location: About a mile to Target Field. Lots of neat shopping, restaurants & bars very close by.
We booked this hotel for an overnight stay when attending a MN Twins game. The hotel is gorgeous & very clean. The staff were very helpful when it came to parking (there is a public parking garage across the street if you don't want to pay the valet at the hotel). The beds were amazing - super soft & comfy!!! Would definitely stay here again when attending something downtown - it is within walking distance to almost everything.

Something's amissPosted Jul 5, 2015
There are certain things you expect from a hotel billing itself as 5 star. There is no pay per view in the rooms even though the in room guide says there is. Pay per view isSTANDARD in even mid level hotels. There was an unfilled minibar. Just an empty fridge. Outside our room they were redoing wallpaper...ugly unfinished walls. All of this seemed so out of place. Everything else was great.

Overall a royal experiencePosted Jun 15, 2015
The staff really took diligence in working with our requests and approving them without issue(we brought our cat for a small fee and also were allowed a late checkout at no cost)-- from our arrival to the very last moment packing up the car, the experience was absolutely wonderful- the floor we were on (19th) was quiet and we had amazing city views. The room itself was clean and elegant- the bathroom is newly remodeled with a large soaking tub and a glass shower. the staff, again, is incredible, service driven, and very friendly, always greeting us when coming or going, giving great recommendations without trying to talk us into anything that we weren't into. I can't wait to come back to hotel ivy!

Talk about Being Pampered, This is the Place!Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Everything. It was clean. The rooms were amazing. The staff is what made the stay there the best. If you want the best in hotel stays, it is here!
Cons: Nothing. This place has it figured out.
Location: Location is right by the Convention Center. Using the skywalk to get to there was wonderful and made the decision to stay at Hotel Ivy a good one.
From the moment we arrived, the staff helping you w/ luggage, check-in, to arrival in room was like you were thee ONLY concern the hotel staff had. You are truly a guest, not a reservation. Anything you needed was attended to in a prompt manner. Each staff member made you feel at home and was truly interested in you. I have never had that kind of experience in any hotel ever. We were attending the Gluten Free Food Fest at convention center and the hotel food had options for those that deal w/ the disease. The perks of staying at this hotel were amazing and it was nice to know that you truly could relax and enjoy yourself. The room was amazing, great view of skyline, the bathroom was like a personal spa. Definitely staying here again.

Recent Stay at Hotel Ivy - Do NOT use the valetPosted May 19, 2015
Pros: Bucket of ice as part turndown service
Cons: The valet service; Free WiFi.
Location: Okay location. Most resturants and points of interest were with in walking distance.
My partner and I recently stay at the Ivy to attend a contect that weekend. The hotel was nice, not overly special. The staff were very nice and even provide a bucket of ice as part turndown service. However, upon picking up our brand new car that had less than 500 miles on it, it was note that there was a huge dent in the side of the passenger door. I will not use their valent again and will look to stay at different hotel in the future.

No thank you to alcohol..Posted Apr 28, 2015 on Hotels
I loved everything about the stay, except for the charge for the "hospitality beverages." We did not want them; we did not use them, and the refrigerator was filled with them, but not working, so the Diet Coke I brought never was cold. Actually it was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Pillows were great. The proximity to the volleyball arena was great. Valet parking was good; desk people were extremely helpful.

Just Ok.Posted Apr 27, 2015
Location: Very close to Target Field and Restaurants/Bars
My husband and I chose the Ivy Hotel on a recommendation from another couple. I booked on Expedia. When we arrived, we were not given the King room I had reserved, but 2 Queens. They said there was nothing they could do, but would move us up to the 14th floor for a better view. Strike 1. When we got to our room, the maid staff was still in our room cleaning. We stood outside with all of our bags and luggage waiting for them to finish. They sent a Supervisor up to check on it and she was not pleasant. Seemed annoyed at us for some reason. Strike 2. Other than that, we had a clean room and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are nice, but no room to put your things. (counter space) We would stay here again, but wouldn't be our 1st choice.
