Great hotel for individuals or groups

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Lighting in the individual rooms.
The hotel features a spacious lobby, a fine and airy restaurant, a large bar, and fitness facilities that rival any other hotel I know about. There is a full sized basketball court, a studio suitable for dance or movement classes, a fully equipped gym, and a swimming pool. There is a floor with meeting rooms though I didn't have occasion to use them, and a very nice 'cafe" where you can get coffee, salads, desserts, and food on the go during much of the day. The room was fine but the lighting somewhat dim, in this it was not exceptional.. The bathroom modern and functional and it was quiet. In all a very good experience and I would go back any time I'm in Minneapolis.

love the features on the 22 floor

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: We loved Thomas on the 22 floor complementary lounge. He welcomed everyone, knew everyone, and provided a warm atmosphere. The food was great.
Cons: nothing
Location: Great location downtown near lots of shopping and food
A hotel can make or break a vacation. This hotel made our stay so much more enjoyable. Three English teachers stayed here to attend the Guthrie Theatre. We felt pampered and valued.

Came for a Twins game

I've stayed at Hyarr many times but first time bringing my kids. Lots going on so tons of kids in hotel, but no issues with excessive noise. Staff are excellent at checkin and in restaurant. Only negative was the pool. It's tiny and unheated. So cold we couldn't stay and my kids love to swim. Bummer, but otherwise great hotel

Room switch unacceptable

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Cons: Staff feeling accoutnable
To reserve a King and have it converted to a 2-queen room and then have it be located right outside the pool is unacceptable - have the hotel desk personnel blame Expedia - also unacceptable. Don't really care who's to blame - the fact that I ended up in a room different from what I reserved is unacceptable and both Expedia and Hyatt are to blame. I'm sharing my experience with anyone I can as a caution abotu booking both with Expedia and using Hyatt as a property. I certainly have no incentive to ever return.

Nice hotel close to train and downtown

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The hotel is close to everything-trains, shopping, nightlife, restaurants-and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was even a little café.
Cons: Don't automatically charge debit card users. Not everyone carries a credit card these days!
Location: The hotel is close to everything-trains (Green and Blue Line), shopping, nightlife, restaurants.
I was glad we found this hotel. It is a convention hotel, located a few blocks from the Green and Blue line trains, and close to lots of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. (The Green line train takes you right to the Mall of America.) The room was a nice size, especially the bathroom. We also had a nice view of downtown. There was also a small cafe inside which sold coffee, tea, and snacks. They even had gluten-free cookies! The cafe hours were very convenient. The only thing I didn't like is I use a debit card and got charged for incidentals, but I did get all of my money back a few days after.

Nice walking distance to Metro Line

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Gym facilities
Cons: Local calls being priced, ill use my own phone if i was aware.
Location: Target Centre, 8 miles of skywalk mall, Metro Line Train to St. paul or Mall of america
It was a nice hotel, but they made you pay for everything after, My Truck was scratched while it was parked in the valet service nothing was done, and also things like mini fridges and local calls cost extra not impressed

The hotel was easy to find, had a friendly staff, a great price through Expedia and excellent rooms. The location is great being so close to Nicollet Mall.
