The elevator was out of order, there were pills on the floor when I got into the room, the fire alarm went off at midnight! The breakfast was the worst I ever had!

Front desk personnel were very very friendly & helpful. Rooms were OK, but kind of old feeling and while the housekeeping staff had obviously cleaned, they could only do so much with older furniture and a bathroom that needed updating. Definitely not a $150/night room based on our experience. The complimentary breakfast was quite nice and the lobby/dining room areas were clean and more updated.

Excellent staff

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Responsive staff
Cons: An ice machine on each floor
Location: Stillwater is a lovely, historic river town. This is a motel that is close enough to the highway for easy access to the Twin Cities if needed.
I make regular trips to Stillwater and was surprised when my first room was not up to the standards I had experienced previously. After one night in a room on the top floor I called at 6 am the next morning and said I needed a different room. The front desk staff were polite, apologetic, and made arrangements for me to move immediately. The second room was spotless and comfortable due to an excellent staff that really did want "to make things right"

Hotel in stillwater

Will be in a great spot right off hwy 36 when construction is done. Would have liked the bathroom shower to be a little nicer. Pet Friendly and only a few minutes from downtown stillwater.

Kind of expensive for just okay.

Cons: check out time was too early, beds and bedding need updated and there needs to be more choices for breakfast.
This is my husband and my 2nd time staying at the hotel. The staff were very nice. The room was very clean. However, the bed was not very comfortable and the sheets were very scratchy. Was woken up in the middle night due to noisy hotel wedding guests. The continental breakfast was disappointing. There were very limited choices and the food that was there was just very good.

Sent us to a dirty room and then over charged me

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was okay.... nothing notable but it was free
Cons: The employees need to be better trained and more thorough.
Location: There was a lot of things to do in Stillwater but nothing in walking distance.
The room that the first assigned us to was dirty, so got us a second room. Then the phone did not work in our room and the cable was not working either. The day we checked out I checked my bank statement and they overcharged me on my room and said that there was nothing they could do about it. So I call Expedia and they said that the hotel had overcharged me and it was there mistake.

Date night

I found your hotel on the internet. We arrive around 4:30 and your staff was very welcoming. They even suggested a shuttle service that we could use for the evening. The cleaning staff did a very nice job on the room too. The only thing I would say is that the decor could use some freshening up and the bed was very uncomfortable. Husband could not sleep on it actually slept on the couch in the room. I am alway a mattress snob so I thought I was just being me myself until I woke up and found him on the couch. He is not a complainer at all.

hotel was nice and staff helpful. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've ever slept in, but it was fine. breakfast in the morning was very good.
