nice hotel close to mall of America

hotel staff was friendly and helpful. we were close to Mall of America and the airport. The pool was nice but the hot tub was a bit dirty. overall we were pleased with the hotel we would stay again

Great hotel

The room was cold so we went to turn down air and a burning smell came out of register. Had to turn air back on which made it very cold. But otherwise fantastic. Great food. Great pool. Shuttle service to mall was super handy being that we're not used to big cities.

Room smelled like road kill

Room smelled musty when dropped off suitcases, turned up AC and when came back sfter 3 hours smelled like road kill. Staff not concerned. Gave no solutions or able to switch rooms. Also unable to use TV, desk clerk alone so couldn't do anything.

Sub-quality inn is more like it

I could go on and on about my experience with this hotel. I could tell you about the front desk hanging up on me when I expresses my displeasure at the tiny double beds and room. Everything about this place screamed cheap, from the room to the breakfast items to the understaffed breakfast workers. The only thing I thought was nice about this place was the pool.

Not at all great dirty

The carpets thruout were very dirty. The walls everywhere also not clean. The elevator doors full of fingerprints. Our sheets had stains and basically not a clean. Hotel. Staff friendly but cleaning staff needs a kick. Breakfast decent.

Nice hotel with comfortable beds

Pros: The comfortable beds and the YMCA.
Cons: The key cards, because we couldn't leave them next to phones, credit cards, etc, according to the staff and that was not convenient.
Location: It was very close to Sea World and many good restaurants like Uno, Fogo de Chao, Kobe Japanese steakhouse.
We had a pleasant experience. The beds were sleep number beds and very comfortable. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The restaurant had a limited menu but the food was good.

Close to shopping

Pros: Close to shopping and eating
Cons: Microwave and refrigerator in rooms.
Location: Close to MOA and eating
Room was fair, cobweb in ceiling corners, bathtub dirty and stopper didn't work. Lamp bulb burned out in lamp. Sheets didn't fit the bed. Hotel needs update.

Honeymoon get away

Overall things were pretty good. Really good hot breakfast. I would say that I was expecting a fancier room since we wanted a suite. I wanted something better for the money I was paying.

Nice location but short staffed

We were only there for one night. Printer at check in was not working causing a major line. They put us in a room were the beds were not maid, bathroom had questionable situation. Next morning breakfast area would not fit the guests and food was low all the time. Never comng back.

Good proximity to shopping

Pros: Convenient location to the Mall of America, other retail shopping, the airport. Coffee and tea were available round the clock.
Cons: Food choices at breakfast were limited. Room was dated, mattress and pillows were not very comfortable. Hotel is a perfect candidate for a makeover!
Location: Mall of America is nearby; other retail shopping is close. Airport is within a couple of miles.
This visit wrapped up a series of business meetings in two areas of the Cities. Check-in was easy and staff was courteous. The room was spacious but somewhat dated and in need of refurbishing. Air conditioner worked well and we were able to stay comfortable, temperature-wise. The bathroom was clean, stocked with an adequate number of towels and had a nice counter-sink area where there was room to lay out toiletries. Bed linens were rather old and the king-sized mattress had definitely seen better days; it was not very comfortable. Our biggest disappointment was with the breakfast. There was very little selection geared toward the dietary needs of a diabetic. My husband managed to put together a combination of a hard-boiled egg, bacon and a higher carb yogurt. What bothered us the most about eating breakfast was the fact that the staff member working did not wear disposable gloves when directly handling food and working in the prep and serving area to keep it clean and stocked. I don't know whether health codes require gloves but given how illnesses can spread in commercial properties it would have made sense to require more attention to health and safety standards. Doing so protects both staff and guests. I would choose another hotel property next time we stay in that area of the Cities.
