Excellent hotelPosted Sep 18, 2014
Very nice hotel. Nice restaurant, decent prices. Close to shopping and airport. Easy to find. Clean and friendly staff. Waterpark is located in hotel however there us a charge to use it. Would be nice if they offered a discount coupon for guests.

road trip stopPosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Location, decor, comfort, staff, food, convenience factors, microwave/refrigerator in the room
Location: Mall of America, Minneapolis & St. Paul close by. For a local favorite eat a Juicy Lucy at the 5-8 Club, it's a burger for your dreams.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and I was sorry to leave. Our room was clean, spacial and had everything we needed. The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and helpful. They even offer regular shuttles to the Mall of America which we didn't get a chance to take advantage of but they definitely go the extra mile to accommodate their guests. The hotel was attractive and well maintained with a great bar, nice casual restaurant and a little cafe in the lobby that is perfect for morning coffee and a donut (seriously, try the donuts) or a soda (pop). This was the last hotel we stayed in at the end of a road trip and it was perfect for it. It was so comfortable (the beds and linens were amazing), convenient to the highway and Mall of America and restful.

Everyone friendlyPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Safe, clean, comfortable, and quiet despite being close to the airport.
Cons: TV channel line up in notebook was incorrect.
Location: Only stayed one night on my way somewhere else so I didn't check out local things to do.
Definitely caters to families but works for singles too. Clean. Not noisy. Comfortable. Was odd to have a bunk bed in my room next to the King sized bed I slept in.

Disappointing experiencePosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The water park
Cons: Everything - especially hotel maintenance - It felt like we were sent to the worst room ever because we had asked to change rooms!
Location: Mall of America, Ikea etc.
Check-in was great. We unpacked -went for supper. After supper we went back to our hotel to discover that we were locked out - for an hour! We had a long day as we were on the road for over 10 hours and were extremely tired. Once in my daughter started crying and did not want to stay here any more. To calm her I asked her if moving rooms would make her feel better and she said sure. So we asked and reluctantly they allowed us to change rooms. The hotel clerk said she gave us a room that was away from all the noise of the waterpark and would be quite so we could all get some well needed rest. Once settled, we tried to turn the TV on however, we were told by front desk that we had to wiggle the wires or unplug the TV and plug it back in for it to work. So after a bit of a Hassel we finally got the TV to work. Then , between 4 and 5 am in the morning the TV turned on automatically and woke us up. So much for the well needed sleep! I could not fall back asleep after that. There was also a family with a baby that had moved in at the same time as us,cried for part of the night so that didn't help. I went downstairs to complain and they gave us a free breakfast. So, still not happy about how they handled it ( I wanted to speak with a manger but I never did get to.) I went to make coffee and the coffee maker wouldn't work(The plugs in one area didn't work.) So the hair dryer didn't work. The safe didn't work. At the end the door handle to our room broke as we were leaving.

Nice hotel, close to IKEA,and Mall of AmericaPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The location and the waterpark
Cons: Need more option for food
Location: Walmart,Walgreens, IKEA, Mall Of America, Airport
The Hotel seemed a bit chaotic at first but it all worked out. They open the waterpark for hotel guests from 9am-11am, We had a blast. The location is close to IKEA and Mall of America. There is a Wal-Mart and Walgreens right down the road too. The water was nice and warm in the waterpark. Even after it opened to anyone that bought a pass, it wasn't too crowded, we ended up staying all day. We will be coming here again in the near future!

Poor servicePosted Aug 28, 2014
Did not appreciate being roused at 3:45 am for a wake up call I did not place. Also feel sorry for the room that probably did not get the wake up they thought was ordered.

Not really worth the pricePosted Aug 25, 2014
Location: The Mall of America and the Minnesota Zoo.
I wasn't impressed that each day they held group gatherings in the lobby for different businesses. It made checking in and getting to the rooms or front desk hard. People stand everywhere and it is extremely noisy and clustered. People were standing at the check in desk using the countertop as a place to hold their drinks. The parking is really bad. People that aren't guests can use the waterpark until 10:00 p.m., so if you are getting back before that time, there is no parking available. They also have a nice little café, however, it closes and you can't buy anything when they are entertaining the business gatherings (in my case was an entire Saturday). They only serve those people, but not the other guests. I'm not understanding why they just don't have the group gatherings/conventions in a convention room like most hotels do. It seemed rather odd. Bloomington was a nice place to visit, but I would probably choose a different place to stay. Sorry.
