“Breakfast was a nice surprise. Food so good and so popular that maybe they need a few more tables.”

“Great Hotel, staff and experience”

Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel provided daily meals which was GREAT and not hot dogs....good food. Loved the shuttle bus that was provided and overall quality. Intend on looking for the same quality when booking for the next vacation.

Area recommendations

Bloomington....Walmart is near hotel and the mall is minutes away. Waterpark was 3 minutes away as was the airport.

“Great stay, great location and great price!!!”

The Residence Inn by Marriott in Bloomington was a great place to stay. It was a comfortable clean room. They serve a great breakfast buffet in the morning as well as a lite dinner during the week. I would stay here again and would recommend to others. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up!!

“Great hotel with bad kitchen”

I should have complained to the hotel but I had started to cook a full meal and didn't want to move or wait... one of the two electric burners didn't work, the dishwasher leaked, and there wasn't anything to cook/microwave in... I think the kitchens in the other rooms (we were in a one-bedroom) are better. The laundry was great, the front desk staff woman was utterly fabulous, and all was good...i will return if i am not cooking! Also, use the Wal-mart down the street for groceries and laundry supplies.

“Better than expected”

We picked this Hotel based on proximity to Mall of America. It is very close-almost a straight shot. Close to the Highway as well but I did not notice any traffic noise. The staff was very friendly. They took the time to stop and chat. One of the better places for complimentary breakfast that I had been to. Even changed up the menu a bit from day to day. I had the feeling the staff took pride in the items they prepared. There is even a lite dinner available in the lobby. Wow-who does that? They have a different little menu each evening of the week. We would stay here again and probably will.

“Delightful stay!”

I can't say enough about what a nice stay we had at the Residence Inn in Bloomingdale! Our stay took place the 3rd week of January 2011. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was clean, really comfortable, the location convenient, and the staff was outstanding! Our room had a kitchen, a small living room, and a bedroom and was really comfortable. A buffet breakfast was included and the food was terrific and included eggs, sausage, make-your-own-waffles, coffee, yogurt cereal, etc... The breakfast staff was sooo friendly as well as the front desk staff. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and will most def stay here again. One minor complaint; the toilets have some kind of power flush feature and they are LOUD. Just don't flush in the middle of the night! 8-)

“Minnesota's Magnificent!!!!!!”

Everything about the hotel was more than I expected. I was very impressed with the size of the rooms and the fact we had 2 bathrooms in which I am not sure I can stay at any hotel again if it does not have 2 bathrooms! The most impressive thing about the stay was the staff. Everyone was very friendly and down to earth. I feel like we made friends with some of the staff during our stay. From the minute we checked in until the minute we left, the hospitality of the staff was unbelievable. I did not get the name of the manager checking us in at the front desk, she was friendly and extremely helpful. This was not forced helpfulness, but very natural. You can tell this was not just a job to her, but her living. There was also another individual who helped during breakfast time who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Her sense of humor and caring attitude made me connect with her immediately. I work as a Director in a Customer Service area at a large insurance company and I know the importance of building relationships with customers to ensure we retain them as customers. These 2 ladies are definetely individuals I would want working on my team and because of them (plus the quality of the hotel itself) me and my family are definetely staying here next time we come back.
