Not for the business travelerPosted May 13, 2014
Pros: it has a charm about it. Sits at the waterfront.
Cons: If they care about appealing to the business traveler, they need to put some kind of workspace in the room. Their pillows were like boards.
Location: The town of Stillwater is quaint with a lot of boutiques and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
The experience was disappointing. While the hotel itself is quaint, it is not designed at all for the comfort of the business traveler. There was absolutely no place to work in the guest room. I had to sit on the bed to use my computer. There is virtually no place in the bathroom to place toiletry items. I was there on Mother's Day so took myself to brunch. Food and selections were less than adequate and they actually charged extra for a cup of cold, stale tasting coffee. On Saturday night, there was a blaring band downstairs which I could hear in my second floor guestroom until they stopped around 11:30am.

Water Street InnPosted Apr 21, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel was a bit shabbier and run down looking than we expected. We were in the north-west corner of the hotel and it was very noisy. Workers were dumping glass in the trash both late and early. There was a big private party that went late into the night and was very loud. The restaurant food was very average and the service was painfully slow. Our waitress stood and talked with the table next to us for fifteen minutes. Our food took forever and was pretty bland. The location was great though. Next time I'll pay extra for a nice bed and breakfast.

fun place to stay along the riverPosted Aug 12, 2010
The Hotel was beautiful. Our room was beautiful. The only thing we did not enjoy about the hotel is we were put in a wing that was being remodeled. (Which you could not tell at check in time.) But, during the night furniture was moved out of other rooms and carpet was moved into the hall. Very noisy! While we were trying to relax and sleep. It made a maze for us to walk through to get in and out of our room in the morning.

Romantic and Relaxing HotelPosted Mar 26, 2009 on Hotels.com
We were very impressed with the hotel room and the building. However, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and paid $27.00 for a tough, tasteless top sirloin steak. The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, soup, and salad were wonderful however. I would absolutely recommend the hotel, but not the steak at the restaurant. Also, definitely call the hotel and check the price before booking with hotels.com. I didn't do that and ended up paying significantly more online than had I gone directly through the hotel.
