“Close to Business”

I was visiting a local business and this hotel was very convenient. The room was nice, and clean. The breakfast was good. Only problem is you can occassionaly hear highway traffic outside. Other than that it was very good.

“Comfortable room good price”

My family and I stayed in this hotel during a recent visit to the Mall of America. The rooms were clean and the breakfast offered good variety. The only negative point was that the spa was out of service during our stay, but other than that, it was well worth the money.

“Excellent choice”

We were in Minneapolis for a family get-together and the Holiday Inn Express (one of our favorite chains) was a perfect choice for us. The location was great, and although we didn't have time to go there, is right next to Pairings, one of our niece's favorite restaurants. The lobby and room were immaculate and staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay there again. The Expedia rate was an incentive too, as we got the room at a very reasonable rate.

“Pretty Nice for the Price”

This hotel wasn't expensive. It was really pretty spiffy. The service at the front desk was extremely friendly, no matter who we were dealing with. They allowed us to check in early, and they gave us a late check out (though we didn't use it because regular check out was at 1:00). The breakfast was seriously amazing. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes, cereal, bagels, english muffins, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, milk, juice, coffee, tea, and lots of other good stuff. It all tasted good, and they were constantly refilling it as it emptied. The room was very clean. It was comfortable. The bed wasn't too soft or too hard, and there weren't any little hairs on the shower walls. It was really easy to find the hotel because it was right off the interstate. However, there isn't that much around in the way of restaurants and shopping. I suppose that explains the price. For us, it wasn't a problem. We had plans and knew where we were going. The only problem we had was that the pool was closed and we weren't informed of that when we booked the room. It was reopened the day we got there, but they suggested we didn't use it because there wasn't a heater and the water was seriously icy cold. It really was. The hot tub wasn't really hot, either. Just sort of luke warm. And the bottom of the hot tub felt like really rough rocks so our feet were sore by the end of the experience. This is a great place to stay, except maybe for the pool.

“gorgeous room but needs more comfortable beds”

We got to hear someone stomping across the floor above us until after midnight. We were awake at the time anyway, so didn't complain. Employees were curtious. I would recommend they put something on top of the mattress to make it just a little softer. I do like a firm mattress but it was a little too firm for our taste.

There was an awesome restaurant across the street from the hotel. We enjoyed their food very much! I would highly recommend it. Their house merlot was very soothing too.

“Great place”

Very friendly staff, clean room, comfy beds with lots of pillows, and great breakfast. The pool wasn't huge, but it wasn't crowded either. Perfect for an overnight stop while traveling.

“Enjoyable stay”

We were very happy with the quality of this hotel for the price we paid. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and spacious. The location for our activities was conveinent. We also were impressed with the breakfast selections; eggs, cereal, french toast, waffles, biscuits & gravy, muffins, toast, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, juices, milk & coffee. There should be no reason for leaving there hungry. The only suggestion I have for the breakfast area is that they need to have either more toasters or faster ones for the french toast & waffles, at times there was a back-up of people waiting to make toast and then by the time your toast was ready your eggs were getting cold. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay there again when we visit the Twin Cities.

Shopping

This hotel is very close to Southdale shopping center in Edina. I enjoy the variety of stores in this shopping mall. It is just a few miles east on highway 62. There is also an assortment of mini-malls on France Avenue and in the surrounding area of Southdale.

Events and shows

We stayed at this hotel because it is close to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. This is an excellent place for an evening of entertainment.

“Amazing Atmosphere”

This hotel was amazing. A little on the high side for price, but well worth it. The staff was very helpful and greeted me every time I came in to the hotel. They made sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. My room was very clean and so was the rest of the hotel. I would stay there again.
