Ramada, Overland Park, KS

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Close to main road, easy to find
Bathroom was dirty, there were 2 towels for 3 adults and 2 kids, microwave was dirty inside, refrigerator had leftover food inside, outside door didn't lock, coffee maker had coffee grounds in it. Breakfast not too great, coffee pot ran out and no attendant there to refill it. Long line of people

Beds were hard, no extra pillows, waited over an hr for some sheets to cover pull out sofa bed. Kids running up & down hall late at night. Dirty floors, complimentary breakfast was not good.. Very dark setting and located by pool. Nastiest Ramada I have ever stayed in!

Nice hotel close to Kansas speedway

Posted May 13, 2015
Great hotel, indoor pool for the kids. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the beds are not queen beds like advertised the hate full size beds. Otherwise staff was friendly.

Paid but didn't even stay

Staff was fine. Hotel is in desperate need of remodel. No amount of housekeeping is going to fix it.

I appreciate your comment. Each and every guest is important to Ramada Hotel, Overland Park, Kansas. It is unlawful in the City of Overland Park and Johnson County to smoke in a public building and in a hotel. It is a $200.00 fine if someone does. Regarding the facility, Ramada is a popular and busy hotel for the many amenities it has and offers a great value for the dollar spent. We at Ramada Hotel, Overland Park, Kansas, do everything possible to service the guest and make it clean and comfortable and fun. That is why many stay at the Ramada. They can afford a weekend away from home without making a parital mortgage payment.

The Door Didn't Even Latch

Posted Apr 25, 2015
I went into this with pretty low expectations, given the price of the stay, but usually I at least require my door to latch and lock when closed. After putting my bags away and going back to my car, I returned to the room and the door just pushed open. I then slammed it a few times, thinking it just didn't catch the first time I went out, but really it just wouldn't lock. Also, though advertised as a non-smoking hotel, the room reeked of cigarette smoke and had burns in the carpet. The toilet ran all night and the ceiling tile above the shower was disintegrating and shedding pieces of junk into the shower.

I appreciate your comment. Ramada Hotel's rooms have heavy solid secure steal doors and the curtains sometimes catch in the door as guest close them and do not put them behind the side curtain holder. This of course inadvertantly keeps the door from latchiing. It is against City of Overland Park and the County of Johnson County to smoke in any Hotel room. It is a $200.00 fine to smoke in a publilc building or hotel lodging room. However hotel guest do smoke outside the Hotel and then they come inside to the room and the odor travels with them. We do everything possible to rid the oder. It is up to housekeeping to inform front desk to inform maintenance staff regarding abnormalities in the room that need to be address. I will bring this to the Staff attention at our daily meeting. I apologize for any inconvenience.
