I like that they have staff 24/7 - it made me feel safe. The staff is great and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is near the hop on hop off bus line and near subway. Too bad the neighborhood is a little run down but I felt fairly safe. I did not go out at night.

Property is right at a terminal for the tram into the city centre. Also, one of the stops for the "hop on hop off" bus tour is directly out front. Grocery stores and pharmacies in easy walking distance. Cross the street and you are on the beach. Some fantastic restaurants within 15 minute walking distance. We had a rental car. The hotel has limited 3-4 spots directly in front, otherwise they also have parking across the street for the beach bar. Hotel staff will also assist with parking your car. Spots were pretty limited even in the off season so don't count on easy parking , but you can get lucky on the side streets. Two small criticisms.... We used the in house laundry service and they lost one item of my wife's clothing. The other one... Early this morning of March 31 we had set an alarm for 0300 to leave plenty of time to drive the rental car back to the airport, arrive early, check in for our flight etc. My alarm went off at 0300 as planned. A few minutes later I checked the time on my phone and it was 0415.... The change from daylight savings time to standard time had occurred right at 0300 when my alarm went off. We magically lost an hour of our morning for getting to the airport. We had talked to front desk staff earlier that evening and they didn't mention time change. There was also no sign regarding time change posted for information. Overall, great experience. I'm sure the rate we received was lower because we were there at the tail end of low (winter) season.
