“Inexpensive and friendly in Moab”

The Apache Motel reminds me of years of cross-country traveling with my family, before interstates. It's homey, and a bit tired, but away from the lights and noise, and the management couldn't be any more friendly. Walls and floors transmit noise, and don't expect things to be new, but I'll go back any time I'm headed to Moab.

“Fine for the price”

The hotel was clean but really needed updating. Off the main road so it was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not bad for the price we paid.

“Dirty, noisy, smelling...”

Air conditioning plant noisy like an airplane and horribly smelling; swimming pool green like of vegetables; beds semi-destroyed; room walls with holes, generally dirty, breakfast nearly non existent; expensive.

“Good for the price”

This motel is located behind the main street, which provides pleasant and calm stay. Absolutely the best in low cost ones.

“Old historic motel”

Everything was OK. We was there for the second time. Best was the heated swimming pool. We liked, that the Motel was not in the Main Street, so it was very quiet at night. We love it.

“Not horrible”

I was basically needing an inexpensive place to crash. I don't like camping and this motel was a step above. We didn't go in expecting the Ritz. We were doing activities during the day and just used the room to sleep. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The room is horribly outdated. The air conditioning didn't do a great job cooling the room. It was 106 degrees and I would have loved coming in to cold room. The hot water goes from zero to scalding as soon as the water is turned on. There were brown flying bugs that seems to come from the air conditioner. The front desk staff was extremely helpful giving me suggestions for activities and give us directions. If given a choice between camping and the motel I would stay here again. It was a pretty overpriced in comparison considering the accomadations but it was also the 4th of July holiday and most other nicer places were at least double the price.

Area recommendations
I love everything about Moab! It is beautiful. Everyone should check out Moab Adventure Center! Do the river rafting and the river tours. I can't wait to return! There are great local dining options and most are very reasonable priced. Its a small quaint town with many options for an active getaway.

“Good enough”

I really really like Moab. Is a beatifull little town with a lot of funny things to do (all of them outdoors). The Apache Motel was just as look on the website. No surprises. Nice people in the front desk, very clean room. We enjoy the morning wafles.
