Room not ready!

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Location in town.
Cons: More staff available - Young, new employee alone to answer the phone and try to take care of 3 couples waiting to check in!
We tried to check in shortly after 4 in the afternoon but were told the room was not ready. Returned from getting an early dinner to be told that the room was still not ready! They refused us a cancellation because it was after the cut off time! Finally the person at the desk phoned the house keeping department & found out that the room was actually ready after all. Clearly they were not ready for a reservation but the walk-in customer who came in right behind us was immediately offered their choice of a room on the first or second floor! The room was clean and average for this price range. It was a very old building that had some remodeling done. The shower diverter needed to be replaced so it was very difficult to turn the shower on and off! The room fridge made some interesting noises all night! The alarm clock in the room next door was clearly heard through the walls at 5:00 AM. Very long walk across the parking lot to the pool area for the only ice machine! The one positive was the breakfast was good.

Great location and staff

Comfortable stay and great breakfast. We will come back for sure when visiting the area. We requested a lower level room and they were very accommodating...easy to walk around the town from this location. It was perfect for us

Good location

Pros: The second floor patio area.
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Right in downtown Moab and a short drive to Arches National Park.
The hotel is located right in the middle of Moab and within walking distance of a lot of the local restaurants, visitor center and other activities. The second level outdoor patio is very inviting and has a nice view. We didn't use the pool but it seemed to be very nice also. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but not outstanding.

D minus room for an A minus price.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was great.
Cons: The room itself needs a big renovation.
Location: Hiking at Nat parks.
The common area (lobby) and breakfast buffet were great. The room was dated , in bad need of a remodel. The carpet and wall was stained, bathroom mirror cracked. Housekeeping was haphazard about replacing supplies. The laundry facility was poor. The pool water quality was questionable. To top it off they dropped the rates my 3rd night for new check ins but would not adjust mine. This is definetly not a $$$ plus a night room.It is a $ a night room.

Low level hotel at Ritz Carlton price

Posted Jun 4, 2014
This hotel has taken advantage of the tourist season and jacks up the price so much it is ludicrous for the accommodations. Sheets thin and wrinkled, towels thin and very rough, can't close bathroom door if you are sitting on toilet it is so smal, with a real need if paint. Dead evergreen bushes all around property. Breakfast is ordinary with only oranges and apples. Pancakes are like cardboard. No bacon, only sausage. Pastries are not of high quality. Lots of off brand hotels not listed by major web sites that you may want to search out for better pricing and a better stay. I could have bought a luxurious tent and sleeping bags for what this hotel cost.

Convenient to tour Moab!

Posted May 1, 2014
Pros: The Breakfast was good and it was in a convenient part of town.
Cons: The staff needs to brush up on the local attractions and what to do and not to do!
Toured Arches, Canyonlands and floated the Colorado!! Great Place to visit!

Nice hotel; clean and comfortable

Pros: Breakfast buffet.
Cons: Workout machines in the gym need fixing
Location: Right on the Main Street of Moab close to everything. Can go biking, fishing, hiking etc etc..... So many things to do outdoors.
Loved the breakfast buffet! Just sad that machines in the workout room needed maintenance and the only one treadmill they had didn't work. Other than that we loved the place and we are definitely going back.

Great location. Could walk to restaurants

Cleanliness is very important to me. I was impressed with attention to detail while cleaning. Moab is in a dusty desert and I witnessed the staff wiping down the outside window sills and handrails. Very tidy! Breakfast was a bit more diverse than the usual freebie. Front desk staff not very well informed, but pleasant.

Good location. Dark rooms. Nice staff. Lousy wifi. Breakfast on paper plates with plastic utensils.
