Very clean rooms, and we loved the decor. The breakfast was gourmet quality, and the staff was friendly. We will definitely repeat.

Pros: The location was ideal. The staff was polite and attentive. The decor was gorgeous.
The hotel staff was great and very attentive. The location was ideal for Mardi Gras. The room was clean and had wonderful ammenities. The breakfast was exquisite. I had no idea that a place like this existed in Mobile, Al. I will definitely return when the opportunity arises.

supernice historical B&B

Posted Jan 29, 2014
I was in Mobile for a conference. I'm glad I chose this B&B instead of the conference hotel. Beautifully appointed, great stuff, perfect breakfast. I'm just sorry that the weather did not cooperate and I had to leave early on my second day trying to avoid a snow/ice storm on the way

Fantastic hotel/bed & breakfast.

Posted Jan 24, 2014
I loved the unique rooms. It felt like I was a guest in someone's luxurious home filled with antiques, high ceilings, fireplaces, etc. the guests received breakfast made to order at a large dining table in the dining room. It does not feel like a hotel, but more like someone's mansion. Great place where I will stay again!

Cozy hotel in a nice little historic district

Posted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Historic, clean, friendly, nice bed and shower, good night's sleep. Excellent breakfast food as well.
Cons: If you like a super-silent location, this one won't do. There's some noise from Interstate 10 as well as the railroad tracks along the river.
Location: Dauphin Street is an easy walk from the hotel, and Fort Condé is literally just around the corner.
This was my first time in Mobile. My wife and I had only one night to spend there, but I would have liked to spend more time in Mobile just to enjoy this hotel. We've been in about 8 hotels on our current trip in Florida/Alabama, and this one was far and away the best.

Oasis in downtown Mobile

Posted Jan 11, 2014
Pros: The breakfasts and service were fantastic. It was also fund because several friends stayed there at the same time.
Cons: There are apparently some plans to restore the remainder of the Fort Conde property, including some shops, which would make it even more attractive.
Location: The Fort Conde Museum is a short walk away and is worth a visit. We didn't make it to the Museum of Mobile across the street. Maybe next time.
We went to Mobile for a football bowl game and chose the Fort Conde Inn because we like to try places, especially in historic buildings, different from the normal generic hotels. We were very pleased with this one. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable, albeit small. The hotel is in a park-like setting in downtown Mobile, close to I-10, something of an oasis. Noise from the nearby interstate was hardly noticable, and there was ample on-street parking.

Excellent stay!

The Fort Conde Inn was a real treat. Alan the GM was very accommodating and David the Sous Chef was a delight. The food was a bit too fancy, but no call to complain as they adjust to your taste. A real gem that we would visit whenever travels take us to Mobile.
