Great room. When some would smoke in their room, came thru my bathroom and stunk up room. Internet was a pain. Were getting new server ...worked better. Slow in evening. A hot breakfast or at least homemade waffles would be nice. Close to all things.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff; appears to be newly refurbished
Cons: The continental breakfast was VERY basic. Fair warning...very firm mattresses.
Location: near to couple of restaurants and a seafood market I would like to check out...easy access from the interstate
Overnight stop during family vacation. fast, courteous check in. good coffee. clean, comfortable rooms.

It's a pretty basic hotel. I used this as my base for Hangout Fest, as it was much cheaper than most places closer to Gulf Shores. With that being said, I really just needed a place to crash and this place worked out fine. It wasn't a big deal, but I did find it kind of hard to believe that my room wasn't cleaned once during a three night, two day stay. I didn't even care to have the room cleaned, but I politely asked the one housekeeper if she could just swap out the towels, but upon arrival later that night, I still had the same old towels. Other than that though, the room was fine. Again, nothing spectacular about this place, but for the price, it's what you'd expect and a at pretty convenient location.

Coffee maker didn't work...replaced with one that needed a carafe and didn't have one

Pros: The other visitors for just passing by my room and not going inside to take our belongings.
Cons: Fire the manager, housekeeper needs to be more careful, use the camera for instances like this when you don't believe your customers
Location: Location is great. Very near to everything.
I have stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham for the last time. I have previously stayed at this place 3 other times and have enjoyed each time I stayed. This time however, was the end of my family ever staying there again. On Saturday morning we left our room to attend the State Track meet held in Gulf Shores. We left before 8am. We returned to our room Sunday morning after 12am to find that our room had been unlocked with the safety bar used to prop the door open. The housekeeper propped our door while she was cleaning the room and never locked it back. Our belongings were left unattended for over 15 hours. The manager told me basically I was not telling the truth and offered no accommodations for their goof up. While I was speaking to him he pointed out the housekeeper and I could clearly see where she was crying knowing that she was guilty. I even suggested that he roll back the camera because there was one right outside my door. Again, he basically offered nothing and said I was not telling the truth.
