Convenient

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Location was good for my business trip. Stayed two nights. Coffee in room as well as cups, etc.., was not replenished. Asked front desk staff for extra bottle of water and they would not accommodate. $10 per day for parking seems steep for Modesto. Happy hour in lobby bar seems to be a rip- off.. Stick to the dining room /restaurant.

Expensive for Location

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Downtown Modesto as not much to offer in quality food. The Train running at night with its Horn Blasting woke me up several times. I don't think I'll stay there ever again.

Nice Hotel

Not much to report I only stayed one night. The elevators did have a bit of trouble keeping up with the demand. The room was clean and comfortable.

Just looks

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Looks great in comparison to other hotels in the area. Beds were not as comfortable and the train that passes by didn't let us sleep =/ staff were really nice, however. Beware because they will charge you a refundable $50 deposit on top of what you pay for the hotel.

Room service is excellent

The room service manager is excellent. He came to my room to deliver a glass for wine before the cheese plate was ready because he understood the urgency. Would recommend to anyone.

Near the train tracks

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff
Cons: Exterior soundproofing
Location: Center of town
My stay at the Doubletree in Modesto was very pleasant, except for one thing: the train that runs through Modesto is only a short block away and at 1am the train blasted its horn loud and long, waking me and, I would guess, a lot of other guests. As I only stayed one night, I can't say if this was a frequent occurrence or something unusual. Everything else about the hotel was fine.

A good hotel in Turlock, went for a soccer tournament and the staff was nice enough to let us have the girls with us.

Not worthy of a Hilton Property

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Overall room comfort and set up was sub-standard. The restaurant and food service was over priced and not of great quality. Train tracks less than one block from the hotel with constant freight trains passing through. Walls so thin we could tell what the people in the next room were watching on TV. A king size mattress that was so worn out that a morning backache was achieved each day of our stay. A pay by day parking garage across the street with no validation for guests.
