Nice character hotelPosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Character and location.
Cons: Slightly more efficient heating system but appreciate this is an old building.
Location: Great location to explore Dorking and the nearby Surrey Hills.
Very pleasant atmosphere and whilst not as up top date as other hotels we've stayed in it makes up for this with it's character and charm. Very good value, excellent location and parking. Excellent breakfast and staff very polite.

Ideal for a short breakPosted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: Just about everything. Suggestions for improvement are 'nit picking'.
Cons: Better quality toilet paper Wider range of draft beers Unusual spelling of Rice Krispies
Location: We went to see the pantomime at Dorking Halls. Otherwise we know little about the area, but would like to explore.
Very satisfied with the hotel for a one night stay. We would certainly book again if we have reason to be in the area.

Romantic coaching innPosted Dec 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
An adorable coaching inn in a lovely town. Due to its age the floors creaked which was very noisey at times. Apart from that we loved our stay in this very atmospheric hotel. The staff were lovely, very helpful and recommend the restaurant which had a good selection of food at reasonable prices.

Nært Gatwick AirportPosted Dec 6, 2014 on Hotels.com

A warm welcolme to DorkingPosted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Old coaching house on the High Street close to all Dorking amenities, the hotel is quaint & a bit creaky but very comfortable, reception very welcoming, room and bathroom clean & a good size, the bed was really comfy.

Fantastic hotel with just little nigglesPosted Nov 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for 2 nights and hosted 2 party's one for Family and another for friends. Both events went smoothly and the Food and service was top notch. I stayed in a room in the old building it was full of character but the Carpet was very worn in places. On the Saturday night the bar which was not busy had tinsel and pieces of paper on the floor that no one picked up which really let the Hotel down.

Old hotel with a lot of history, good food.Posted Nov 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The stay at the hotel was great. This hotel has a great history and of course it is old. You can't expect these hotels to have the standards as the new hotels made. I enjoyed my meals and liked the services. The beds could be better, but as I had to change hotel to Chalk Lane I realized that I missed the beds in The White Horse. Although the room was old it had a bath tub and a shower. I enjoyed walking in the streets and if you want a good British restaurant the area has a lot to offer.
