“Great Bargain, highly recommended!!!”

Great Hotel, location was not great, but train station was only 10 minute walk away. supermarket near hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, If you have a chance explore the town. It's a small town but quite unique,The big city of Barcelona is about 30 minutes away.

“Good Value Hotel”

As some of the other reviews have said this is a great value hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the air conditioning was great. The hotel is located just outside Barcelona (about 25 minute train ride. There is a grocery store about 300 feet from the hotel as well. I would recommend this hotel for anybody trying to keep costs down. In Barcelona I highly recommend the Hop on Hop off bus to see some of the best attractions at a reasonable cost. I will return if I pick up another cruise from Barcelona in the future.

“Great for someone wanting to save money and doesn't mind the train ride”

The Holiday Inn was just as advertised. Quality hotel for the money. Breakfast was good. Walk to the train station was easy and the train ride was easy as well. The plaza is a great place to start the tourist adventure.A little far out for someone that wants the nightlife and party times, but for a family or a couple looking to save money, a great deal. There is a grocery store next door , so very convenient.

“Excellent hotel and great value for money.”

The hotel is generally supurb value for money. It is very new and clean. The staff are (mostly) very helpful and the rooms are large with lovely bathrooms with baths and soap, shower gel etc. The beds are a bit hard and the pillows too soft but it's still much better than most hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast is not great but perfectly acceptable for the price. There is a supermarket next door which is very good and useful if you have young children. The railway station is about a 10 minute walk away and trains run to Barcelona quite regularly and take about 20 minutes. However it is probably worth mentioning that if you have a pushchair you will need to do a lot of carrying it up and down stairs at many of the stations as they only have a few lifts here and there and just because they have one going up, don't assume there is also one going down!!! Also worth mentioning is that the town of Molins is relatively dead with few restaurants open early in the evening, so again, if you have young children, be prepared to use the supermarket or order a pizza from the hotel - they are supurb! We got ripped off by the taxi on the way back to the airport so I would suggest that you get a price from the desk when ordering the taxi at the hotel to ensure that doesn't happen. Overall though I would definitely recommend this hotel and will go back again if lucky enough to return to Barcelona.

“Good Budget Hotel”

The hotel on the whole was excellent. The desk staff all spoke really good english, and their directions into the centre of town were really good. They provided not just a free map, but written directions on how to use the local train station to get into the centre of Barcelona. Breakfast was typical of this chain, with a little Catalan extras thrown in as a a local treat. Plenty of seats and plenty of food to go round in the breakfast room. The room was clean and tidy and all set up for the 4 of us upon arrival, (2 Adults and 2 Teenagers). House keeping was also fine. Internet access is expensive at 9 € for 24 hrs, but we just got it for one day and caught up on emails etc. Having a supermarket nearby was a boon as you could sample the local fair at local prices. I can heartily recommend the local Tinto wine, yum at only 3 Euros a bottle. ( tasted like £10.00s worth here in the UK). The hotel is situated 5 mins Walk from the train station, and buying a T10 Ticket for Zone 2 gets 4 people into town and back for less than 8 Euros,( Feb 2010) this leaves you with 2 trips, so use it again the next day for part of your trip. The trip only takes about 20 Mins, and is well serviced by trains every 10 mins. Follow the instructions from the Hotel and you can't go wrong.

“Great Hotel but very far from Barcelona”

If you are primarily looking for a hotel while sightseeing in Barcelona then I would suggest booking a different hotel. The Hotel itself is very nice and clean but it is very far from Barcelona. (10-15 min walk and 40 minute train ride) but the trains only come ever hour or so. So you could find yourself waiting at an outdoor train station for hours like we did.

“Nice, but terrible location”

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly. But it was far from Barcelona. The walk to the train station was not too long, maybe 10 minutes, but it was a 20 minute ride into the city. Also, internet connection was not free.

“Value for money”

Very nice hotel. It wasn't expensive, and for the money we paid I think it was quite good. The area is not great, you really have to go to Barcelona for clubbing/shopping, but as we had a car - that wasn't a problem.

“Very good hotel”

The hotel is in an excellent location only 11km drive to Barcelona centre and 1km walk to the train station. Breakfast is of standard quality. Rooms are comfortable and pleasant with the air con. I would recommend this hotel if you are on an average budget.

“Comfortable hotel, easy travel to Barcelona centre”

The hotel is in one of the Barcelona satellites. The travel to the town centre is via train and is around 25 min and the train station is 10 min away slow walk. It was very easy to commute. If you are in Barcelona you may be in a less convenient spot. The airport is only 20 min by car. The best Barcelona beaches are south of town around Sitges and if you are with a car this is very good hotel as you will avoid all the traffic jams in and out of the centre and the parking is free. It's a clean modern hotel with all expected amenities. The breakfast is included. If you want double bed, you need to state this while booking as the standard room is twin.
