“lovely rooms,polite staff,20-25 km from Barcelona”

located on the motorway, quiet, nice rooms, all the comforts provided (TV, airconditioning, etc). A bit far from Barcelona (around 30+ Km),if you dont have a car you have to use the train (never used it cause I've rent a car). The only downside was the breakfast, the qualily of which was not satisfactory, could be improved really as the rest of the hotel is really good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Recommend it if you have a car, because at that price you wont get anything as good as this at the center of Barcelona. Car rentals from 27GBP/day is a bargain really. Have a good trip P.S. Try the restaurant at the corner opposite from the hotel, its a little tapas restaurant, homey and simple, with good food and friendly local people.

“Good hotel for the budget traveller with a car in Barcelona”

The hotel is rather far away from downtown Barcelona. But if you have a car, and there is no traffic on the highways, you can get there in 20 minutes using the tunnel. The hotel is quiet, clean, and in a nice area. The staff is very helpful and you can't beat the price. So if you are looking to visit Barcelona but want to stay in a hotel far away from the madness of the city, and close to the highway so as to travel somewhere else in Catalunia, this hotel is a great alternative.

“Great for the price”

Great hotel for the price. It is a little far from the city center and it requires toll charges if driving. Parking however is free which makes up for it. The breakfast was a little cold( eggs and bacon) and the lady attending in the breakfast area was rude and more worried about cleaning than attending to us. She would not refill drink jars unless asked to. Front desk was nice and helpful however. Internet was decently fast and worked great in room. Would stay here again and recommend for ever anyone. If your into the night life however I would pay a little extra to stay at the Ramblas to avoid driving or taxi fees.

“My review of hotel (location & facilities)”

Everything about this hotel was perfect apart from its location. It was too far out from Barcelona city centre and required a half hour train ride in and out each time we went into the city. The initial taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was €85 which is why we then used public transport which by the way was only €4.5 return. The hotel itself was ideal with friendly staff, clean and tidy bedrooms and a good breakfast selection.
