Pros: The staff was nice and helpful
Cons: maybe the bar/restaurant could stay open little later.
Location: It was nice that the hotel was close to Kaunakakai where the restaurants, small stores and gas station was.
the staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I liked that they had a small continental breakfast in the mornings.

Not a resort, but a wonderful stay

Posted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: Unique style lofts.
Location: Right near Kaunakakai town and close enough to the airport.
If you're used to 5 star hotel experiences, this isn't your place. If you really like unique hotel experiences, this hotel is for you. Very friendly hotel staff, great Hawaiiana style lofts and a wonderful view of the ocean. The rooms are quite large and very clean. No complaints at all, will definitely be staying here my next trip to Molokai.

Staff incredibly welcoming

Pros: Warm and friendly staff.
Location: Ukulele and hula show Friday evenings.
This is a vintage 1960's era hotel that has lots of Tiki charm. If you are expecting a business class hotel this is not what Molokai is about. Instead you are rewarded with a more local experience. The hotel manager actively greets and talks with guests, the staff are warm, friendly and accommodating. The hotel grounds are a little slice of old school paradise - a nice pool right by the beach complete with a row of hammocks under a grove of palms just awaiting an afternoon nap while the waves lap the shore. The rooms are clean and vintage-y and are a throwback to older times. Friday nights guests are rewarded with a local ukulele and hula show in which even the locals perform. Grandmothers, grandfathers, little children, aunties and uncles up there singing along with the band while playing their own ukuleles. Little kids and elderly couples dancing the hula. It's a cool local experience and this weekly hotel event clearly is an important part of the local community.

Hawaii charm

Charming hawaiian character! Central location near the town, center of island. Nice location on the waterfront, older building but well maintained and very clean room with all we needed. The staff was very friendly on check in and out. The manager held a happy hour and personally greeted all the guests. We would return and/or recommend.

Excellent staff!!

The resort is older but what they lack in "newness" goes away with the professional attention to detail each staff member provides for you. Each and every employee was knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and friendly. The prices and quality for food and beverages were awesome. They also provide free use of snorkels and coolers. We had a great visit and look forward to staying there again. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Okay hotel

The hotel is older but pleasant. The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. No air conditioning which makes it uncomfortable when it is hot & humid but survivable when the breeze is blowing. Centrally located near largest town on Molokai. Good experience

A nicely located spot to stay in Molokai

Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Helpful staff.
Cons: All providers/operators (brochures/leaflets/flyer) should be represented on activity desk at reception instead of only one.
Location: Location a view minutes drive outside town within easy reach of most places of interest.
Efficient check in.
